Abstract

Penelitian ini berangkat dari menurunnya hasil belajar peserta didik dalam pembelajaran sejarah. Banyak faktor yang menjadi akibat menurunnya hasil pembelajaran salah satu faktor yang paling berperan adalah kurangnya guru memahami gaya belajar peserta didik sehingga guru tidak memfasilitasi belajar peserta didik dengan metode yang benar. Pertanyaan penelitian dalam tesis ini adalah 1. Bagaimana Learning Style peserta didik kelas XI IIS 2 SMA Negeri 2 Tasikmalaya berdasarkan teori David Kolb hasil identifikasi peneliti? 2.Bagaimana layanan pembelajaran sejarah berdasarkan Learning Style David Kolb di kelas XI IIS 4 SMA Negeri 2 Tasikmalaya? 3.Bagaimana hasil-hasil yang dicapai dalam pembelajaran sejarah berdasarkan Learning Style David Kolb di kelas XI IIS 4 SMA Negeri 2 Tasikmalaya? 4.Bagaimana solusi dalam mengatasi kendala dalam pembelajaran sejarah berdasarkan teori Learning Style David Kolb di kelas XI IIS 4 SMA Negeri 2 Tasikmalaya?. Lokasi penelitian dilakukan di SMA Negeri 2 Tasikmalaya. Penelitian ini mengunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode fenomenologi. Data dikumpulkan dengan teknik studi dokumentasi, wawancara dan observasi. Dari hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan diketahui bahwa 1. Gaya belajar di kelas XI IIS 4 terbagi kedalam 8 gaya belajar, Dari kedelapan gaya belajar, gaya belajar yang dominan di kelas adalah acomodator 2. Pembelajaran yang dilakukan oleh guru baik secara keseluruhan. Kedua guru sangat menguasai kelas dan menerapkan kurikulum 2013 dengan baik dalam hal pembelajaran di kelas 3. Hasil evaluasi kognitif menunjukan bahwa teori kolb benar bahwa gaya belajar berpengaruh kepada hasil belajar peserta didik. Namun karena tidak hanya gaya belajar yang berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar maka pada penelitian ini ditemukan adanya pengecualian terhadap teori gaya belajar Kolb. 4. Solusi untuk permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendidikan dan pembinaan guru perlu ditingkatkan untuk menghasilkan guru yang bermutu dan dalam jumlah yang memadai, serta perlu ditingkatkan pengembangan karier dan kesejahteraannya dan guru dituntut untuk mengembangkan diri dan tidak gagap informasi sehingga mengetahui perkembangan-perkembangan terbaru dalam bidang yang diampu.;--- The research starts from the decrease of the students learning result in learning history. There are so many reasons why it was happened. One of them is the teachers don’t understand the students learning style so that they can’t facilitate how their students must study some thing using the correct method. The research questions in this thesis are 1) how is the learning style of David Kolb Theory in Class XI IIS 4 SMAN 2 Tasikmalaya? 2) How is the service of history lesson based on the learning style of David Kolb in Class XI IIS 4 SMAN 2 Tasikmalaya? 3) How are the students learning results in history lesson based on the learning style of David Kolb Theory in Class XI IIS 4 SMAN 2 Tasikmalaya? 4) How are the sollutions in overcoming the students difficulties in learning hisory based on the learning style of David Kolb Theory in Class XI IIS 4 SMAN 2 tasikmalaya? This research has been done in SMAN 2 Tasikmalaya. This research is using qualitative approachwith fenomenology technique. All the data are collected by any kinds of techniques such as documentary study, interview, and observation. The results of the research are as follows: 1. There are eight kinds of the learning style in Class XI IIS SMAN 2 Tasikmalaya but acomodator learning style is the most dominant one. 2. The teachers can run the teaching and learning process very well. They can handle the class and master in applying the 2013 curriculum. 3. The result of cognitif evaluation proves that the Kolb Theory is absolutely right. Learning style can influence the learning result. In the other side it is also thrue that there are other factors which can influence to the learning result. 4. The sollution to overcome the problem in this research is that the teachers must increase their ability in running their duties by joining any kinds of training. Besides they also must develope their ability in using Computer, information and technology so that they can have up date information, science and knowledge. All are done in order to become the prefessional teachers who are not only master in managing the teaching and learning process but also in increasing their income.
