Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) mengenai implementasi strategi REACT (relating, experiencing, applying, cooperating, and transferring) untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa sekolah dasar. Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas IV A yang berjumlah 13 orang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengetahui proses pelaksanaan pembelajaran dengan implementasi strategi REACT pada pembelajaran IPA di kelas IV SD; (2) mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dengan implementasi strategi REACT pada pembelajaran IPA di kelas IV SD. Pelaksanaan penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran IPA diantaranya disebabkan oleh pemahaman siswa yang masih rendah, sedikit siswa yang memperhatikan penjelasan guru, metode pembelajaran secara konvensional, tidak ada media yang digunakan, keterbatasan sumber buku, serta pembelajaran hanya berlangsung satu arah (teacher centered). Hal tersebut diperkuat oleh data yang menunjukkan bahwa hanya 23,07% siswa yang lulus KKM pada kegiatan pra-siklus. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, maka dilakukan penelitian tindakan kelas yang mengadaptasi dari model Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart dengan pelaksanaan tiga siklus. Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran IPA dengan implementasi strategi REACT. Pada siklus I 46.15% siswa yang lulus KKM, pada siklus II 92.30% siswa yang lulus KKM dan pada siklus III 100% siswa semua lulus KKM. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa implementasi strategi REACT dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran IPA di kelas IV sekolah dasar.;This research is a classroom action research (PTK) on the use implementation strategies of REACT (relating, experiencing, applying, cooperating, and transferring) to enchance student learning outcomes. This research aims to (1) determine the implementation process of learning with REACT strategy implementation in learning science in the fourth grade; (2) to increase student learning results with REACT strategy implementation in learning science in the fourth grade. Implementation research because the students has low motivated in learning science, students understanding of them is still low, many students who pay attention to the teacher explanation, conventional teaching methods, and learning takes place only in one direction (teacher centered). This is reinforced by data showing that only 23.07% of students who graduated KKM on pre-cycle activity. Based on these problems, then do action research is adapted from the model Kemmis and Mc. Taggart with the implementation of three cycles. Results of research conducted showed an increase in student learning outcomes in learning science with REACT strategy implementation. In the first cycle of 46.15% of students who graduated KKM, the second cycle 92.30% of students who graduated KKM and the third cycle of 100% of students all passed the KKM. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the implementation of the REACT strategy can improve student learning outcomes in learning science in the fourth grade of elementary school.
