Abstract

Kosakata merupakan aspek yang penting dalam keterampilan berbahasa Jepang. Pada kenyataannya, pembelajar sering menemukan kesulitan dalam menguasai kosakata bahasa Jepang, khususnya dalam mengingat. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan metode pembelajaran yang dapat mengatasi masalah tersebut seperti melalui metode Game The Landlords. Tujuan penelitian dengan metode Game The Landlords ini adalah untuk mengetahui kemampuan kosakata dasar bahasa Jepang siswa. Selain itu, metode Game The Landlords ini berguna untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan untuk mengetahui perbedaan yang signifikan dalam kosakata bahasa Jepang. Penelitian ini menggunakan One Group Pretest Postest Design yaitu ada pretest dan posttest. Dari hasil analisis data, diperoleh nilai rata-rata siswa sebelum menggunakan metode Game The LandlordsI adalah 42,33. Setelah menggunakan metode Game The Landlords maka nilai rata-rata siswa menjadi 81,66. Hal ini menunjukan terdapat perbedaan antara sebelum dan setelah menggunakan metode Game The Landlords. Dengan demikian dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa metode Game The Landlords berpengaruh untuk meningkatkan kemampuan kosakata dasar bahasa jepang siswa. Kata kunci : kosakata, metode Game The Landlords Vocabulary acquisition is an important aspect of Japanese language skill. In fact, student often found some difficulties in acquiring Japanese vocabulary, especially in remembering. Due to the fact, a learning method to solve the problem is needed, such as using The Landlords game method. The Landlords game is created by Elizabeth Magie and introduced in 1904. In that era, Magie created this game to make people understand how the landlords enrich themselves and impoverish the tenant. This game is well known as Monopoly game. According to Wikipedia http://id.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monopoli(permainan), monopoly is one of the most popular board games in the world. It is aimed to conquer all boxes on board. Each player roll the dice on their turn to move their pawn to the next box. This research used, One Group Pretest Postest Design there are pretest and posttest. The result of data analysis found that the student's average score before using The Landlords game method was 42,33. After using The Landlords game method, student's average score became 81,66. It shows that there is a gap between before and after using The Landlors game method. In conclusion, The Landlords game method influences the student's skill improvement in acquiring Japanese basic vocabulary. Key Words: Vocabulary, The Landlords game method
