Abstract
Penelitian yang berjudul ‘’Profil Kemampuan Aktual Siswa Berdasarkan Conceptual Change Text (CCT) Pada Materi Hidrolisis Garam’’ dilatar belakangi oleh perlunya suatu bahan ajar yang mampu membantu siswa memperoleh konsepsi ilmiah sekaligus menghindari terjadinya miskonsepsi khususnya dalam materi hidrolisis garam yang memiliki banyak miskonsepsi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh informasi dan gambaran mengenai profil kemampuan aktual siswa berdasarkan CCT yang mewakili tiga level representasi kimia. Metode yang digunakan quasi experiment dengan desain non-equivalen control group. Subjek penelitian ini melibatkan 30 siswa kelas XI SAINS yang terdiri dari 22 siswa kelas kontrol dan 8 siswa kelas eksperimen yang mengikuti pretest, membaca CCT dan non CCT, posttest. Instrumen penelitian berupa butir soal pretest dan posttest untuk mengukur kemampuan aktual siswa yang diolah secara kuantitatif dengan penskoran pada masing-masing butir soal kemudian dihitung persentasenya. Lembar angket dan pedoman wawancara diolah secara kualitatif untuk mendukung hasil penelitian pada aspek kuantitatif. Skor pretest dan posttest diolah secara statistik menggunakan SPSS 20. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan membaca dengan teks bahan ajar CCT dan non CCT dapat membantu siswa mencapai kemampuan aktual yang lebih tinggi pada ketiga level representasi kimia materi hidrolisis garam. CCT memiliki efektivitas lebih tinggi pada level submikroskopik dengan rata-rata kemampuan aktual sebesar 15% dan % N-Gain sebesar 0.03% dibandingkan non CCT sebesar 5% dan % N-Gain sebesar -0,01%. ---------- This study, with the title “Profil Kemampuan Aktual Siswa Berdasarkan Conceptual Change Text (CCT) Pada Materi Hidrolisis Garam'' motivated by the need for a teaching materials that can help students acquire scientific conception while avoiding the occurrence of misconceptions, especially in the material salt hydrolysis which has a lot of misconceptions. This study aimed to obtain information and a description of the student's actual development level profile based CCT that represents the three-level representations of chemistry. The method that used in this study is quasi-experimental design with non-equivalent control group. Subjects of this study involving 30 students of class XI SCIENCE consisting of 22 students of control class and 8 students of experimental class that followed the pretest, read the CCT and non CCT, and posttest. The research instrument in this study are pretest and posttest to measure the student's actual development level which analyzed quantitatively by scoring on each item and then calculate a percentage. Sheet questionnaire and interview guides qualitatively processed to support research on quantitative aspects. Pretest and posttest scores were statistically processed using SPSS 20. The results showed that reading the text of teaching materials based on CCT and non CCT can help students to achieve higher actual development level at all three levels of representation of chemistry in the material of salt hydrolysis. CCT has a higher effectiveness at the submicroscopic level with the average actual development level by 15% and % N-Gain of 0.03% compared to non CCT by 5% and % N-Gain of -0.01%.
