Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya keterampilan menulis karangan narasi dan deskripsi siswa kelas IV SDN Pelesiran dalam penggunaan huruf kapital dan pengunaan tanda baca. Dalam menulis karangan narasi belum bisa menentukan tokoh, watak/perbuatan, latar, alur dan diksi. Dalam menulis karangan deskripsi belum bisa menentukan isi karangan bedasarkan penginderaan, mengorganisasi dengan baik, dan menggunakan diksi yang baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeksripsikan keefektifan model pembelajaran kooperatif dengan mengkombinasikan tipe think pair share dan think talk write dalam peningkatan keterampilan menulis karangan narasi dan deskripsi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah eksperimen kuasi dengan desainnon-equivalent control group design. Penelitian dilakukan di SDN Pelesiran Kota Bandung dengan partisipan siswa kelas IV. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah RPP, LKS, rublik penilaian, kisi-kisi, dan lembar observasi. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis secara statistik dengan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan t-test. Setelah dilakukan uji-t pada posttest kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol keterampilan menulis karangan narasi diperoleh nilai Sig. (2-tailed) = 0,003 < 0,05, dan pada karangan deskripsi diperoleh nilai Sig. (2-tailed) = 0,001 < 0,05. Jadi, terdapat perbedaan data posttest keterampilan menulis karangan narasi maupun deskripsi antara kelas eksperimen dengan kelas kontrol. Berdasarkan analisis N-gain keterampilan menulis karangan narasi siswa kelas eksperimen mengalami peningkatan N-gain mecapai 0,54 (sedang), sedangankan kelas kontrol N-gainnya 0,29 (rendah). Sementara keterampilan menulis karangan deskripsi siswa kelas eksperimen mengalami peningkatan N-gain mecapai 0,46 (sedang), sedangankan kelas kontrol N-gainnya 0,20 (rendah). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan secara empirik bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif efektif dalam peningkatan keterampilan menulis karangan narasi dan deskripsi siswa. ----------This research is motivated by the low skills of essay writing narrative and description of the fourth grade students of SDN brothels in the use of capital letters and punctuation usage. In writing a narrative essay can not determine the character, character / action, setting, plot and diction. In writing the essay description can not determine the contents of a bouquet of bedasarkan sensing, well organized and use good diction. This study aims to description the effectiveness of cooperative learning model combining types think pair share and talk think write in improving the skills of essay writing narrative and description. The method used in this study is a quasi experimental design with non-equivalent control group design. The study was conducted in the city of Bandung with SDN pelesiranparticipants fourth grade students. The research instrument used is the lesson plans, worksheets, assessment rublik, grating, and the observation sheet. The data were statistically analyzed with normality test, homogeneity, and t-test. After the t-test at posttest experimental class and control class narrative essay writing skills acquired Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.003 <0.05, and the description of the bouquet obtained value Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.001 <0.05. So, there are differences in the data posttest narrative essay writing skills as well as a description of the experimental class with the control class. Based on the analysis of N-gain narrative essay writing skills experimental class students increased N-gain reach 0.54 (medium), while control class N-gain is pretty 0.29 (low). A description essay writing skills while the experimental class students increased N-gain mecapai 0.46 (medium), sedangankan control class N-gain is pretty 0.20 (low). Results of this study showed empirically that the cooperative learning model effective in improving the skills of essay writing narrative and description of the students.
