Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar IPA terpadu pada tema “Kelistrikan pada Makhluk Hidup” dengan menggunakan metode Four Step Teaching Material Development (4STMD) yang mencakup tahap seleksi, strukturisasi, karakterisasi dan reduksi didaktis. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Riset dan Pengembangan (R&D). Subjek penelitian merupakan seluruh bahan ajar IPA tema kelistrikan pada makhluk hidup yang dikaji dengan menggunakan metode 4STMD. Instrumen yang disusun dalam penelitian ini digunakan untuk proses reviu yang dilakukan ahli pada setiap tahap pengembangan bahan ajar. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan jenis data. Setiap tahapan pada metode 4STMD memiliki peranan penting untuk menghasilkan bahan ajar yang memiliki kualitas baik sesuai dengan kemampuan kognitif dan psikologis siswa. Hasil bahan ajar yang dikembangkan di uji kelayakannya oleh ahli dan dilakukan implementasi sebagai bahan evaluasi. Implementasi bahan ajar dilakukan dengan uji efektifitas bahan ajar terhadap kemampuan berpikir integrasi pengetahuan siswa. Hasil uji kelayakan bahan ajar berdasarkan ahli menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar yang dikembangkan memiliki kategori “sangat baik” dengan persentase sebesar 97,86%. Hasil implementasi bahan ajar terhadap kemampuan berpikir integrasi siswa pada kelas yang menggunakan bahan ajar hasil 4STMD memiliki nilai rata-rata yang lebih besar (60,19) dibandingkan dengan nilai rata-rata pada kelas yang menggunakan bahan ajar lain (45,9). Hasil implementasi menunjukkanbahwa siswa memiliki respon positif dengan persentase sebesar 69,86 %,dimana bahan ajar yang dikembangkan tersebut termasuk ke dalam kategori baik berdasarkan kriteria kelayakan bahan ajar. ---------- This research aims to developed an integrated science teaching materials with theme "Electricity in the living", using the Four Step Teaching Material Development (4STMD). 4STDM consist of four main steps, which are; selection, structuring, characterization and reduction didactic. This study used Research and Development method (R&D). The subject of this research is the entire teaching materials that is processed using 4STMD. The research instruments were used to reviewing every stages of the development of teaching materials process. Data were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively in accordance with the needs and the type of data. Each stage in 4STMD method hold an important role in producing a good quality teaching materials, that is correspond with students' cognitive abilities and psychological development. Results of teaching materials assessed with feasibility test by expert and implemented to the students as an evaluation process. Implementation of teaching materials were aimed to test the effectiveness of teaching materials on students' ability of integration knowledge. The results of feasibility studies of teaching materials by experts showed that the teaching materials fell on "very good" category, with a percentage of 97.86%. The implementation of teaching materials result showed that students’ ability of integration knowledge on class that using teaching materials by 4STMD has bigger mean score (60.19) compared to the mean score on class that using other teaching materials (45.9). The implementation result also showed that students’ rensponse toward the teaching materials were positive with percentage of 69.86%, the teaching materials have a “good” category based on teaching materials feasability categories.
