Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya praktik public area di sekolah yang sangat berpengaruh pada kesiapan peserta didik ketika melaksanakan praktik industri di lapangan yang meliputi persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan hasil praktik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh gambaran kemampuan praktik peserta didik sebagai public area attendant di laboratorium SMK Negeri 15 Bandung. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan sampel total sebanyak 30 peserta didik kelas X SMK Negeri 15 Bandung. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes kinerja dan observasi untuk menggambarkan kemampuan peserta didik pada saat melaksanakan praktik public area. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kemampuan praktik public area seluruh peserta didik kelas X AP 6 sudah berada di atas nilai KKM. Pada aspek persiapan kurang dari setengahnya peserta didik berada pada kategori tinggi, aspek pelaksanaan setengahnya peserta didik pada kategori tinggi, dan aspek hasil praktik lebih dari setengahnya berada pada kategori tinggi. Rekomendasi diajukan pada peserta didik kelas X AP 6 di SMK Negeri 15 Bandung diharapkan dapat mempertahankan dan meningkatkan kemampuan praktik sebagai public area attendant yang dimulai dari aspek persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan hasil praktik. ---------- This research is motivated by the importance of the practice of public area in which the school is very influential on the readiness of learners when implementing industry practice in a field which includes the preparation, execution, and results of practice. The aim of the study is to obtain practical abilities of learners as a public area attendant in the laboratory SMK Negeri 15 Bandung. The method that is used in this study is descriptive method with a total sample of 30 students of class X in SMK Negeri 15 Bandung. The researcher used performance tests and observations to describe the ability of learners at the time of carrying out the practice of public area. The result showed that the ability of the practice of public area all students of class X AP 6 was already on the minimum completeness criteria. In the aspect of the preparation is less than half the students at the high category, aspects of the implementation of half of students in the high category, and practical aspects of the results of more than half are on high category. Recommendations proposed in the tenth grade students in SMK AP 6 Bandung 15 is expected to maintain and improve the ability to practice as a public area attendant who started from aspects of preparation, execution, and results of practice.
