Abstract

Penelitian dilakukan berdasarkan permasalahan rendahnya kemampuan siswa dalam menulis teks negosiasi. Banyak faktor yang menyebabkan siswa mengalami kesulitan, antara lain kurangnya minat dan ketertarikan siswa dalam mempelajari teks negosiasi. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, diperlukan strategi dan teknik pembelajaran yang tepat dalam mengatasi kesulitan siswa menulis teks negosiasi. Oleh karena itu, peneliti mencoba untuk menerapkan teknik example – non example dalam pembelajaran menulis teks negosiasi. Teknik example – non example menggunakan media gambar guna melatih peserta didik dalam berpikir kritis, dan mengubah gambar ke dalam bentuk teks negosiasi. Adapun rumusan masalah pada penelitian yakni 1) bagaimana kemampuan siswa kelas eksperimen dalam pembelajaran menulis teks negosiasi sebelum dan sesudah teknik Example – Non Example diterapkan di kelas? 2) apakah terdapat perbedaan kemampuan antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol setelah dilakukan treatment pada kelas eksperimen? dan 3) apakah teknik Example-Non Example efektif dalam pembelajaran menulis teks negosiasi? Tujuan penelitian ini antaralain untuk mengetahui perbedaan kemampuan antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol setelah diberikannya perlakuan pada kelas eksperimen, dan untuk mengetahui apakah teknik example – non example efektif dalam pembelajaran menulis teks negosiasi. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian yakni metode eksperimen kuasi dengan desain penelitian nonequivalent control group design, yang mana sampel diambil tidak secara acak (random). Penelitian ini menggunakan dua kelas, satu diantaranya merupakan kelas eksperimen, dan yang satunya lagi merupakan kelas kontrol sebagai kelas pembanding. Kedua kelas tersebut diberikan pretest dan posttest, namun perbedaannya pada kelas eksperimen diberikan perlakuan sedangkan kelas kontrol tidak. Berdasarkan perhitungan uji hipotesis dengan taraf kepercayaan 95%, diperoleh hasil ttabel sebesar 1.9974 dan thitung sebesar 7.43. Hal ini berarti thitung (7.43) > ttabel (1.9974). Dengan kata lain, terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan terhadap kemampuan menulis teks negosiasi pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol, setelah kelas eksperimen mendapat perlakuan teknik example – non example pada pembelajaran menulis teks negosiasi. Berdasarkan data tersebut, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak. Selain itu terdapat peningkatan dari hasil tulisan siswa, yang mana pada kelas eksperimen muncul aspek-aspek tertentu dalam teks negosiasi yang terlihat lebih jelas dibandingkan pada kelas kontrol. Hal itu berarti penggunaan teknik example – non example efektif dalam pembelajaran menulis teks negosiasi.----------The study was conducted based on the problem of the low ability of students in writing the text of the negotiations. Many factors cause students experiencing difficulties, among others, lack of the interest students in learning the negotiation text. Based on these problems, the learning is required strategies and techniques appropriate for overcomes the difficulties students in write negotiations text. Therefore, researchers are trying to apply the techniques of example – non example in learning to write the negotiations text. Technique example of non – example using media images in order to train students in critical thinking, and change the image into the form of a negotiating text. As for the formulation of research problem on 1) how students ability in experiment class of learning to write the text negotiation before and after technique Example – Non Example applied in class? 2) if there are differences among the capabilities class experimentation and grade control after treatment on a class experiment? and 3) is a Example - Non-Example techniques effective in learning to write negotiations text? The purpose of this research has the ability to tell the difference between the experimental and the control class after he gave the treatment on a class of experiments, and to find out whether technique example – non example is effective in learning to write the negotiations text. The methods used in the research is quasi experimental with nonequivalent control group research design because the samples are taken not at random (random). This study uses two classes, one of which is a class of experiments, and the other is the control class as the comparison class. Both classes are given pretest and posttest, however the difference in class experiments is given preferential treatment while the control class does not. Calculation based on hypothesis test with a 95% confidence level, obtained results of ttabel and thitung of 7.43 1.9974. This means thitung (7.43) > ttabel (1.9974). In other words, there is a significant difference towards writing skills negotiating text on experimental class and grade control, after experimental class received the treatment technique example – non example on. Based on that data, then it can be inferred that the Ha is received and Ho is rejected. In addition, there is an increase from the results of students writings, which appeared in the experimental class of certain aspects in the negotiating text that is seen more clearly than in the control class. It means the use of the technique of example – example of non effective in learning to write the text of the negotiations.
