Abstract
This study aims to analyze the relationship between students' motor ability and futsal skills among extracurricular participants at SMP Negeri 3 Lembang. A quantitative approach was used with a One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The sampling technique applied was total sampling, involving 20 futsal extracurricular students as the research sample. Data were collected using the Barrow Motor ability Test, Loughborough Soccer Passing Test, and Loughborough Soccer Shooting Test. Based on the results of the Pearson correlation test, a coefficient of r = 0.679 with a p-value of 0.001 was obtained, indicating a positive and statistically significant relationship between motor ability and futsal skills. Furthermore, the independent samples t-test showed a significant difference in futsal skills between students with high and low motor ability, with a t-value of 4.45 and p < 0.001. These findings indicate that motor ability plays an important role in improving futsal performance, suggesting that structured training programs should incorporate the development of fundamental motor skills.
