Abstract
Siswa yang kesulitan dalam menyelesaikankan soal cerita matematika seringkali melakukan kesalahan saat menyelesaikannya. Perbedaan gaya belajar siswa dapat berdampak pada kemampuan mereka dalam memahami dan memproses informasi yang diperoleh selama proses pembelajaran. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan jenis kesalahan siswa, jenis gaya belajar yang dimiliki, jenis kesalahan dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita SPLTV berdasarkan kriteria Watson ditinjau dari gaya belajar, dan faktor yang mempengaruhi terjadinya kesalahan tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X salah satu SMA di Kota Bandung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara umum siswa melakukan kesalahan kesalahan data hilang (omitted data/od) dan kesimpulan hilang (omitted conclusion/oc), kemudian terdapat 14 siswa gaya belajar visual, 8 siswa gaya belajar auditori, dan 9 siswa gaya belajar kinestetik. Siswa dengan gaya belajar visual cenderung melakukan kesalahan data hilang (omitted data/od), kesimpulan hilang (omitted conclusion/oc), dan masalah hirarki keterampilan (skills hierarchy problem/shp) yang disebabkan oleh tidak teliti, kurang memahami pertanyaan soal, dan kurangnya keterampilan dalam menyelesaikan soal. Siswa dengan gaya belajar auditori cenderung melakukan kesalahan data hilang (omitted data/od) dan kesimpulan hilang (omitted conclusion/oc) yang disebabkan oleh tidak teliti dalam membaca soal dan kurangnya pemahaman konsep. Siswa dengan gaya belajar kinestetik cenderung melakukan kesalahan kesimpulan hilang (omitted conclusion/oc) dan data tidak tepat (inappropriate data/id) yang disebabkan oleh kurangnya pemahaman prosedur dalam menyelesaikan soal dan keliru dalam memilih data. Kesalahan yang terjadi mempengaruhi hasil belajar siswa. Students who have difficulty solving math story problems often make errors in the process. Variations in student learning styles can affect their ability to understand and process information obtained during the learning process. The purpose of this study is to describe the types of student errors, the types of learning styles they have, the types of errors in solving SPLTV story problems based on Watson's criteria reviewed from the learning style and factors that influence the occurrence of these errors. This research uses a qualitative research method with a case study design. Subject in this study were Grade X students of a high school in Bandung City. The results of the study show that in general students make errors in missing data (omitted data/od) and missing conclusions (omitted conclusion/oc), then 14 students with visual learning styles, 8 students with auditory learning styles, and 9 students with kinesthetic learning styles. The students with visual learning styles tend to make omitted data (od), omitted conclusion (oc), and skills hierarchy problems (shp) errors caused by not being careful, not understanding the questions, and lack of skills in solving questions. The students with auditory learning styles tend to make omitted data (od) and omitted conclusion (oc) errors caused by not being careful in reading the questions and a lack of understanding of the concept. The students with kinesthetic learning styles tend to make omitted conclusion (oc) and inappropriate data (id) errors caused by a lack of understanding of procedures in solving questions and errors in selecting data. The errors that occur affect student learning outcomes.
