    Abstract

This study aims to describe students mathematical literacy skills in solving High-Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) problems on Systems of Linear Equations in Two Variables (SPLDV) from a self-efficacy perspective. Mathematical literacy is a student's ability to formulate, apply, and interpret mathematics in various contexts. One of the factors supporting mathematical literacy is self-efficacy. This research method is qualitative with a phenomenological approach. Data were collected through a mathematical literacy test, a self-efficacy questionnaire, and interviews. The study subjects were selected using purposive sampling, consisting of six students in grade VIII-B, with two students each with high, medium, and low self-efficacy. The data show that students with high self-efficacy can meet three indicators of mathematical literacy. Students with moderate self-efficacy can meet two indicators: formulating and applying mathematical concepts. Students with low self-efficacy can only formulate information that is known and asked.
