Abstract
Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian pengembangan yang berfokus pada perancangan media pembelajaran berupa media cerita bergambar berbasis multimedia untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa mengenai materi listrik. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di salah satu Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) di kota Tasikmalaya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah 1) merancang media cerita bergambar berbasis multimedia yang memuat materi listrik untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa sekolah dasar; 2) menguji kelayakan media cerita bergambar berbasis multimedia melalui validasi ahli materi, ahli media dan ahli bahasa; 3) mengetahui respons guru dan siswa terhadap media cerita bergambar berbasis multimedia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Design and Development (D&D) pada ruang lingkup pengembangan produk dan alat dengan melalui tahapan identifikasi masalah, mendeskripsikan tujuan penelitian, perancang dan mengembangkan produk, menguji coba produk, mengevaluasi hasil uji coba dan mengkomunikasikan hasil uji coba. Pengumpulan data didapatkan melalui wawancara dan angket yang dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menujukan bahwa media cerita bergambar berbasis multimedia yang dikembangkan memperoleh persentase kelayakan dari validator ahli yakni penilaian dari ahli materi sebesar 81%, penilaian dari ahli media sebesar 96% dan penilaian ahli bahasa sebesar 82%. Hasil uji validasi dari para ahli menunjukkan bahwa media yang dikembangkan telah memenuhi standar sebagai media pembelajaran. Selain itu, respons penggunaan media cerita bergambar berbasis multimedia dari guru dan siswa menunjukkan respons yang positif dengan persentase penilaian sebesar 95% dari guru dan penilaian 90% dari siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut media cerita bergambar berbasis multimedia layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran dan hasil penelitian ini dapat dijadikan acuan dalam mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis digital lainnya. ---------- This research is a type of development research that focuses on the design of learning media in the form of multimedia-based picture story media to enhance students' understanding of electricity concept. The research was conducted at an islamic elementary school in the city of Tasikmalaya. The objectives of this research are: 1) to design multimedia-based picture story media containing electricity concept to improve elementary school students' understanding; 2) to test the feasibility of the multimedia-based picture story media through validation by subject matter experts, media experts, and language experts; 3) to understand the responses of teachers and students towards the multimedia-based picture story media. This research uses the design and development (D&D) method in the category of product and tool development through the stages of identify the problem, describe the objectives, design and develop the artifact, test the artifact, evaluate testing results and communicate the testing results. Data collection was obtained through interviews and questionnaires that were analyzed descriptively qualitatively and quantitatively. The results of this study indicate that the multimedia-based picture story media developed obtained a feasibility percentage from expert validators, namely a score of 81% from content experts, 96% from media experts, and 82% from language experts. The results of the validation tests from the experts show that the developed media has met the standards for educational media. Additionally, the responses to the use of multimedia-based picture story media from teachers and students show a positive response with a rating percentage of 95% from teachers and a rating of 90% from students. Based on the results of the study, multimedia-based picture story media is suitable to be used as a learning medium, and the findings of this research can serve as a reference in developing other digital-based learning media.
