Abstract
Rendahnya pemahaman konsep peserta didik khususnya dalam pembelajaran IPA di jenjang SD/MI masih perlu adanya perhatian yang sungguh-sungguh, karena akan menjadi tonggak pemahaman konsep-konsep IPA pada jenjang selanjutnya. Penelitian ini menawarkan alternatif solusi menggunakan model Quantum Learning pada pembelajaran, yang mana model ini dirancang agar peserta didik cenderung lebih aktif dalam pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian pre-experimental design bentuk desain one group pretest posttest yang dilaksanakan di salah satu MI X Kabupaten Garut dengan melibatkan 37 peserta didik kelas IV, yang mana kelas IV-A sebanyak 19 orang mengikuti tes untuk menguji validitas soal sebelum digunakan penelitian dan peserta didik kelas IV-B sebanyak 18 orang sebagai sampel penelitian yang mengikuti pretest, treatment, dan posttest dengan tujuan untuk mendapatkan data penelitian kemampuan pemahaman konsep IPA sebelum dan sesudah treatment menggunakan model Quantum Learning. Analisis data melalui uji normalitas Shapiro-Wilk memperoleh nilai Sig. 0,376 (> 0,05) yang menyatakan berdistribusi normal. Selanjutnya, uji hipotesis dengan paired sampels test menghasilkan nilai Sig. (p < 0,001) yang menyatakan bahwa sangat signifikan secara statistik. Nilai rata-rata N-Gain memperoleh 0,75 dengan kriteria tinggi dan klasifikasi tingkatan yang cukup efektif. Hasil observasi menunjukkan skor 9,28 yang artinya bahwa aspek yang diamati muncul pada setiap sintak model Quantum Learning sehingga mendorong partisipasi aktif peserta didik dalam mengikuti pembelajaran IPA sehingga pemahaman konsep peserta didik menjadi lebih meningkat. Namun, karena dilakukan pada satu kelompok sampel dengan pendekatan pre-experimental design sehingga belum bisa digeneralisasi ke populasi yang lebih luas. The low level of conceptual understanding among students, particularly in science education at the elementary school/madrasah ibtidaiyah level, still requires serious attention, as it will serve as a foundation for understanding science concepts at higher levels. This study offers an alternative solution using the Quantum Learning model in education, which is designed to encourage students to be more active in the learning process. This study uses a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design in the form of a one-group pretest-posttest design conducted at one MI X in Garut Regency, involving 37 fourth-grade students. Of these, 19 students from class IV-A took a test to assess the validity of the questions before they were used in the study, while 18 students from class IV-B served as the research sample, participating in the pretest, treatment, and posttest with the aim of obtaining research data on science concept comprehension ability before and after treatment using the Quantum Learning model. Data analysis through the Shapiro-Wilk normality test obtained a Sig. value of 0.376 (> 0.05), indicating a normal distribution. Furthermore, the hypothesis test using the paired samples test yielded a Sig. value of (p < 0.001), indicating that it was statistically significant. The average N-Gain score was 0.75, meeting the high criteria and classified as sufficiently effective. The observation results showed a score of 9.28, meaning that the observed aspects appeared in every syntax of the Quantum Learning model, thereby encouraging active participation of students in science learning, thus improving their conceptual understanding. However, since it was conducted on a single sample group using a pre-experimental design, it cannot yet be generalized to a broader population.
