Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model project based learning berbantuan aplikasi Canva terhadap kreativitas siswa dalam menulis teks prosedur di kelas IV sekolah dasar. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah rendahnya kreativitas siswa dalam menulis, yang disebabkan oleh kesulitan dalam menuangkan ide dan memahami pembelajaran teks prosedur, sehingga tulisan siswa cenderung monoton dan kurang terstruktur. Model project based learning dipilih karena memberikan pengalaman belajar bermakna melalui kegiatan kolaboratif serta mendorong keterlibatan aktif, pemikiran kritis, dan kreatif. Teks prosedur penting diajarkan di kelas IV karena melatih siswa memahami langkah-langkah sistematis dalam menyelesaikan tugas sehari-hari serta mengembangkan kemampuan berkomunikasi logis dan runtut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain kuasi eksperimen tipe Matching-Only Pretest-Posttest Control Group. Sampel terdiri dari dua kelas di dua sekolah swasta di Kecamatan Cileunyi. Kelas eksperimen menggunakan model project based learning berbantuan Canva, sementara kelas kontrol menggunakan model proses menulis. Instrumen berupa tes menulis dengan indikator kreativitas (Torrance, 2018). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kedua model berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan kreativitas menulis, namun kelas eksperimen menunjukkan rata-rata lebih tinggi (13,06) dibanding kelas kontrol (12,55), dan terdapat perbedaan signifikan (0,868 > 0,050) antara kelas yang menggunakan model project based learning dan proses menulis. Keduanya sama-sama menghasilkan produk sebagai bentuk proses kreatif, namun perbedaan media Canva yang interaktif dan ekspresif sedangkan gambar acak dari guru menyebabkan hasil akhir yang berbeda. ---------- This study aims to determine the effect of the project-based learning model assisted by the Canva application on students' creativity in writing procedural texts in fourth-grade elementary school. The background of this research is the low level of student creativity in writing, which is caused by difficulties in generating ideas and understanding the structure of procedural texts, resulting in writing that tends to be monotonous and poorly organized. Project-based learning was chosen because it provides meaningful learning experiences through collaborative activities and encourages active engagement, critical thinking, and creativity. Procedural texts are essential to teach in the fourth grade as they train students to understand systematic steps in completing everyday tasks and develop logical and structured communication skills. This research uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design of the Matching-Only Pretest-Posttest Control Group type. The sample consisted of two classes from two private schools in Cileunyi District. The experimental class used project-based learning assisted by Canva, while the control class used the writing process model. The instrument used was a writing test based on creativity indicators by Torrance (2018). The results showed that both models significantly improved students’ writing creativity, but the experimental class had a higher average score (13.06) than the control class (12.55), with a significant difference (0.868 > 0.050). Although both models led to creative products, the difference in media interactive and expressive Canva vs. teacher-selected random images resulted in different outcomes.
