Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas IV sekolah dasar terkait pada pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia materi teks narasi fiksi. Penggunaan media serta kurang tersedianya bahan bacaan menjadi salah satu faktor penyebab permasalahan lemahnya kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan website Literacy Cloud sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas IV sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain pre-eksperimental tipe one group pretest posttest design. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini, yaitu purposive sampling dengan jumlah 27 siswa kelas IV di salah satu sekolah dasar Negeri Kota Bandung. Penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen tes berupa pretest dan posttest yang berjumlah 10 soal uraian. Analisis data yang dilakukan pada penelitian ini melalui uji statistik validitas, reliabilitas, normalitas, paired sample t-test dan uji perbedaan terhadap skor N-Gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan website Literacy Cloud cukup efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas IV. Hal tersebut terlihat dari hasil uji perbedaan rerata serta skor N-Gain sebesar 0,5998 yang termasuk dalam kategori sedang dan cukup efektif. The research is motivated by the low reading comprehension ability of fourth grade elementary school students related to Indonesian language lessons on fictional narrative text material. The use of media and the lack of reading materials are one of the factors causing the problem of weak reading comprehension skills of students. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using the Literacy Cloud website as an effort to improve the reading comprehension skills of fourth grade elementary school students. This study uses a quantitative method with a pre-experimental design type one group pretest posttest design. The sampling technique used in this study was purposive sampling with a total of 27 fourth grade students at a public elementary school in Bandung City. This study used a test instrument in the form of a pretest and posttest in the form of 10 descriptive questions. Data analysis carried out in this study through statistical test of validity, reliability, normality, paired sample t-test and N-Gain. The results of the study showed that the use of the Literacy Cloud website was quite effective in improving the reading comprehension skills of fourth-grade students. This is reflected in the results of the mean difference test and the N-Gain score of 0,5998, which is included in the moderate and quite effective category.
