Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh pemahaman konsep IPAS siswa kelas IV siswa masih belum baik. Oleh karena itu siswa kesulitan untuk memahami materi mengenai peran, tugas dan tanggung jawab di lingkungannya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh gambaran yang komprehensif mengenai efektivitas model pembelajaran RADEC untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep IPAS siswa kelas IV. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen tipe one group pretest-posttest. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas IV SDN XYZ di Kabupaten Bandung yang berjumlah 38 orang. Data ini dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan instrumen tes pemahaman konsep IPAS siswa yang telah divalidasi sebelumnya. Analisis data yang digunakan didalam penelitian ini yaitu uji normalitas, uji homogenitias dan uji non parametrik Wilcoxon dan uji N-gain. Hasil penelitian ini terlihat adanya perbedaan rata-rata sebelum dan sesudah dilakukannya model pembelajaran RADEC dengan dibuktikan dari uji Wilcoxon yang menunjukan adanya perbedaan. Berdasarkan hasil uji N-gain memperoleh skor tinggi yang berarti memiliki tingkat efektivitas tinggi. Oleh karena itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran RADEC ini efektif untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep IPAS siswa kelas IV. This research is motivated by the understanding of the IPAS (Natural Sciences and Sosial Sciences) concepts among fourth-grade students, which is still not good. As a result, students have difficulty understanding the material regarding roles, duties, and responsibilities in their environment. The aim of this research is to obtain a comprehensive picture of the effectiveness of the RADEC learning model to improve students' understanding of IPAS concepts in fourth grade. The research method used in this study is quantitative with a one group pretest-posttest experimental design. The population in this study consists of all fourth-grade students of SDN XYZ in Bandung Regency, totaling 38 people. Data was collected using a concept understanding test instrument for students that had been previously validated. The data analysis used in this research includes normality test, homogeneity test, and non-parametric Wilcoxon test and N-gain test. The results of this study show a difference in the average before and after the RADEC learning model was applied, as evidenced by the Wilcoxon test which indicates a difference. Based on the N-gain test results, a high score was obtained which means it has a high level of effectiveness. Therefore, it can be concluded that the RADEC learning model is effective in improving the conceptual understanding of IPAS for fourth-grade students.
