Abstract
Pendidikan karakter berperan untuk membina karakter siswa. Pada kenyataanya pendidikan karakter di Indonesia belum memiliki kualitas yang baik. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui, menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan implementasi prinsip The Seven Habits dalam membina karakter siswa di SD Peradaban Serang. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menerapkan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode studi kasus. Partisipan penelitian meliputi kepala sekolah, wali kelas, dan siswa kelas 4-6 di SD Peradaban Serang. Data penelitian diperoleh dari observasi, wawancara, studi dokumentasi, dan penyebaran kuesioner. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan analisis kualitatif model Miles dan Huberman. Keabsahan data diuji dengan uji kredibilitas dan transferabilitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) implementasi prinsip The Seven Habits di SD Peradaban Serang di antaranya diterapkan dalam kegiatan morning activities, pembelajaran, literasi go to perpus, rabu berbagi, special learning, senam, mentoring, outbound, upacara bendera, Proyek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5), Jumat bersih, refleksi, the leader in me, dan super camp 2, 2) terdapat 17 nilai karakter yang terdapat dalam prinsip The Seven Habits meliputi religius, tanggung jawab, mandiri, jujur, bersahabat/ komunikatif, rasa ingin tahu, gemar membaca, disiplin, peduli sosial, menghargai prestasi, peduli lingkungan, kerja keras, semangat kebangsaan, toleransi, cinta damai, demokratis, dan kreatif, 3) penerapan prinsip The Seven Habits memberikan implikasi positif terhadap pembinaan karakter siswa di SD Peradaban Serang. Hasil kuesioner menunjukkan 94% siswa merespon tepat dan 6% siswa merespon tidak tepat. Penelitian ini dapat memberikan kontibusi baru dalam bidang pendidikan karakter dengan langkah kebiasaan yang konsisten. Character education plays a role in shaping students' character. In reality, character education in Indonesia does not yet have good quality. This research was conducted to understand, analyze, and describe the implementation of The Seven Habits principles in character building for students at SD Peradaban Serang. This research was conducted using a qualitative approach and case study method. The research participants include the principal, class teachers, and students in grades 4-6 at SD Peradaban Serang. Research data were obtained from observations, interviews, document studies, and the distribution of questionnaires. The data obtained were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman qualitative analysis model. The validity of the data was tested with credibility and transferability tests. The research results show that: 1) the implementation of The Seven Habits principles at SD Peradaban Serang is applied in activities such as morning activities, learning, literacy go to the library, Wednesday sharing, special learning, gymnastics, mentoring, outbound, flag ceremony, Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5), clean Friday, reflection, the leader in me, and super camp 2, 2) there are 17 character values contained in the principles of The Seven Habits, including religious, responsible, independent, honest, friendly/communicative, curious, fond of reading, disciplined, socially caring, appreciating achievements, environmentally conscious, hardworking, patriotic, tolerant, peace-loving, democratic, and creative, 3) The application of The Seven Habits principle has a positive impact on the character development of students at SD Peradaban Serang. The results of the questionnaire show that 94% of students responded correctly and 6% of students responded incorrectly. This research can provide a new contribution in the field of character education through consistent habitual steps.
