Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya pemahaman konsep peserta didik Fase B Jenjang Kelas IV sekolah dasar pada mata pelajaran IPAS khususnya pada materi fotosintesis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur berapakah tingkat efektivitas penggunaan multimedia interaktif berbantuan scratch untuk meningkatkan pamahaman konsep peserta didik pada mata pelajaran IPAS sekolah dasar. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode pre-eksperimen desain one-group pretest-posttest design. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah 27 peserta didik fase B di salah satu SD di Kabupaten Garut. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes tertulis dengan jenis soal uraian. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, uji hipotesis dan uji N-Gain. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata hasil post-test mengalami peningkatan dari rata-rata hasil pre-test yaitu dari 23,11 menjadi 51,37. Berdasarkan uji hipotesis, diperoleh nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05 maka H0 di tolak dan Ha diterima, berarti bahwa terdapat peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman konsep yang signifikan. Berdasarkan uji N-Gain, diperoleh skor N-Gain sebesar 0,46 berarti skor N-Gain berada pada kriteria “sedang”. Sedangkan persentase nilai N-Gain sebesar 46 berarti bahwa kriteria tafsiran efektivitasi gain penggunaan multimedia interaktif berbantuan scratch berada pada tingkat “kurang efektif” untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep pada mata pelajaran IPAS sekolah dasar. This research is motivated by the low understanding of concepts among Phase B Grade IV elementary school students in the IPAS subject, particularly in the topic of photosynthesis. This study aims to measure the level of effectiveness of using interactive multimedia assisted by Scratch to improve students conceptual understanding in the elementary school IPAS subject. The research approach used is a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design method. The sample in this study consisted of 27 phase B students from one elementary school in Garut Regency. The instrument used is a written test with essay-type questions. The data analysis methods used are normality test, homogeneity test, hypothesis test, and N-Gain test. The analysis results show that the average post-test scores increased from the average pre-test scores, from 23.11 to 51.37. Based on the hypothesis test, a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 was obtained, so H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means that there is a significant improvement in conceptual understanding ability. Based on the N-Gain test, an N-Gain score of 0.46 was obtained, which means the N-Gain score falls within the "moderate" criteria. Meanwhile, the percentage of the N-Gain score of 46 means that the interpretation criteria for the effectiveness of the gain from using interactive multimedia assisted by Scratch are at the "less effective" level for improving concept understanding in the elementary school IPAS subject.
