Abstract

Saat ini, partisipan sosial pada orang tua anak berkebutuhan khusus di Indonesia masih sangat minim. Hal tersebut disebabkan oleh pemikiran negatif dalam lingkungan sosial yang masih menganggap bahwa anak berkebutuhan khusus memiliki keterbatasan tidak dapat melakukan berbagai hal seperti anak pada umumnya, sehingga menjadi pemikiran bagi orang tua bahwa memiliki anak berkebutuhan khusus merupakan hal yang menyulitkan yang ditunjukkan dengan berbagai respon seperti malu, ketidakpercayaan, terkejut dan marah. Respon tersebut merupakan implikasi dari penerimaan diri orang tua yang tidak siap. Sehingga tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui bagaimana sikap penerimaan diri orang tua siswa anak berkebutuhan khusus TK inklusif di daerah Bandung serta strategi yang diterapkan orang tua siswa dalam mendampingi anak berkebutuhan khusus. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Deskriptif Kualitatif dengan melibatkan kepala sekolah, dan tiga orang tua siswa anak berkebutuhan khusus pada beberapa TK Inklusif di daerah Kota Bandung. Proses pengumpulan data dari penelitian ini meliputi wawancara dan dokumentasi terhadap orang tua siswa anak berkebutuhan khusus TK inklusif Bandung. Data yang dikumpulkan kemudian di proses secara kualitatif melalui pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, hingga menghasilkan kesimpulan. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa sikap penerimaan diri orang tua siswa TK inklusif Bandung sudah berlangsung dengan baik. Dengan demikian, diharapkan adanya suatu tindakan yang dapat meningkatkan penerimaan diri pada orang tua anak berkebutuhan khusus dengan efektif. --------- Currently, social participation of parents of children with special needs in Indonesia is still very minimal. This is caused by negative perception in the social environment which still considers that children with special needs have limitations and can’t do things like children in general, so it becomes a thought for parents that having children with special needs is a difficult thing which is shown by various responses such as shame, disbelief, shock and anger. This response is an implication of unprepared parental self-acceptance. So the purpose of this study is to find out how the attitude of parents' acceptance of children with special needs inclusive kindergartens in the Bandung area and the strategies that parents apply in assisting children with special needs. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method involving the principal, and three parents of students with special needs in several inclusive kindergartens in the city of Bandung. The process of collecting data from this research includes interviews and documentation of parents of children with special needs in inclusive kindergarten in Bandung. The data collected is then qualitatively processed through data collection, data reduction, data presentation, to produce conclusions. The results of this study indicate that the attitude of self-acceptance of parents of Bandung inclusive kindergarten students has been going well. Thus, it is hoped that there will be an action that can increase self-acceptance to parents of children with special needs effectively.
