Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kepercayaan diri dan keterampilan bermain siswa dalam pembelajaran sepak bola. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji efektivitas metode peer teaching dalam meningkatkan kepercayaan diri dan keterampilan bermain sepak bola pada siswa kelas XI IPS 1 SMA Negeri 24 Bandung. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Subjek penelitian melibatkan siswa kelas XI IPS 1 SMA Negeri 24 Bandung yang terdiri dari 36 siswa (19 laki-laki dan 17 perempuan). Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah angket kepercayaan diri, lembar observasi kepercayaan diri, dan Games Performance Assement Instrument (GPAI). Berdasarkan analisis penelitian mengenai kepercayaan diri, hasil tes angket awal diperoleh 72%, dan tes angket akhir diperoleh 75%, mengalami peningkatan 3%. Hasil observasi kepercayaan diri, pengamatan awal diperoleh 55%, pada siklus II tindakan 2 diperoleh 63%, mengalami peningkatan 8%. Untuk keterampilan bermain sepak bola, hasil instrumen tes GPAI dengan tiga indikator decision making, skill execution, dan support pada observasi awal mendapat skor 64%, pada siklus II tindakan 2 memperoleh skor 75%, mengalami peningkatan 11%. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa metode peer teaching berpengaruh cukup signifikan terhadap peningkatan kepercayaan diri siswa dan keterampilan bermain siswa dalam sepak bola. This research was motivated by the low self-confidence and students’ skills in soccer games. The purpose of this research is to see the effectiveness of the peer teaching method in enhancing the self-confidence and students’ skills in soccer games of 11th-grade Social 1 students at SMA Negeri 24 Bandung. The research method is using Classroom Action Research. The subject of this research is grade 11th Social Studies Class 1 at SMAN 24 Bandung, consisted of 36 students (19 boys and 17 girls). The instrument used in this research is a self-confidence questionnaire, self-confidence observation sheet, and the Games Performance Assessment Instrument (GPAI). The analysis of the research regarding self-confidence, the initial questionnaire test showed a score of 72%, in final test the score hit 75%, indicating a 3% improvement. In terms of self-confidence observations, the initial observation score was 55%, which increased to 63% by the second action in Cycle II, reflecting an 8% improvement. For students’ skills in soccer games, the GPAI test results, based on three indicators—decision making, skill execution, and support—showed an initial score of 64%, which rose to 75% by the second action in Cycle II, indicating an 11% improvement. The results in this research is the peer teaching method has a significant positive impact on improve students' self-confidence and students’ skills in soccer games.
