Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh kurangnya optimalnya penggunaan media pembelajaran yang mempengaruhi kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa, sehingga kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kurang maksimal. Mengacu pada hal tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media quora terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas VIII MTS Negeri 3 Serang. Pengukuran kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dihitung berdasarkan indikator kemampuan berpikir kritis. Penelitian ini melibatkan dua variabel yaitu variabel bebas dan variabel terikat, variabel bebas yaitu media quora dan variabel terikat yaitu kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Populasi penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas VIII-D dan kelas VIII-B MTS Negeri 3 Serang yang berjumlah 58 siswa. Dengan pedekatan kuantitatif, metode penelitian secara khusus menggunakan kuasi eksperimen (eksperimen semu). Teknik penggumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu: tes yang terdiri dari pre-test (tes awal) dan post-test (tes akhir), angket, dan observasi. Hasil penelitian kuasi eksperimen yang terlaksana di kelas VIII MTS Negeri 3 serang terdapat peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa di kelas VIII-D dalam pembelajaran PPKn yang ditandai dengan rata-rata 73. Tetapi media quora dalam pembelajaran PPKn di kelas VIII MTS Negeri 3 Serang masih kurang efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis walaupun terdapat peningkatan yang signifikan dari sebelumnya. This study is motivated by the lack of optimal use of learning media that affects students' critical thinking skills, so that students' critical thinking skills are not maximized. Referring to this, this study aims to determine the effect of using quora media on critical thinking skills of students in class VIII MTS Negeri 3 Serang. Measurement of students' critical thinking skills is calculated based on indicators of critical thinking skills. This study involves two variables, namely the independent variable and the dependent variable, the independent variable is quora media and the dependent variable is the critical thinking ability of students. The population of this study were students of class VIII-D and class VIII-B MTS Negeri 3 Serang, totaling 58 students. With a quantitative approach, the research method specifically uses quasi experiments (pseudo experiments). Data collection techniques used in this study are: tests consisting of pre-test (initial test) and post-test (final test), questionnaire, and observation. The results of quasi-experimental research carried out in class VIII MTS Negeri 3 serang there is an increase in students' critical thinking skills in class VIII-D in Civics learning which is characterized by an average of 73. But quora media in Civics learning in class VIII MTS Negeri 3 Serang is still less effective in improving critical thinking skills even though there is a significant increase from before.
