Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi karena kurangnya pendidikan karakter dan feedback yang terjadi saat pendemi COVID-19, mengakibatkan kurangnya self-esteem pada siswa yang di tandai dengan maraknya kasus bullying, depresi, bunuh diri pada siswa di Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah pemberian positive feedback, netral feedback, dan kelompok kontrol meningkatkan perkembangan self-esteem siswa sekolah dasar. Kemudian perlakuan manakah yang paling optimal dalam meningkatkan self-esteem siswa sekolah dasar. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis quasi eksperimen, dengan pretest posttest control group design dengan populasi SDN 178 Gegerkalong KPAD, dengan sampel kelas V sebanyak 81 siswa. Instrumen yang di gunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah angket Hare Salf-esteem Scale yang sudah di uji validitas. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah paired sampel t-test dan one way anova. Simpulan dalam penelitian ini adalah pemberian positive feedback, netral feedback, dan kelompok kontrol berpengaruh terhadap perkembangan self-esteem siswa sekolah dasar. Dan pemberian perlakuan positive feedback memberikan dampak paling signifikan terhadap perkembangan self�esteem siswa Sekolah Dasar. Sebagai seorang guru kita harus memperhatikan self�esteem siswa karena memiliki self-esteem yang kuat merupakan aset yang sangat berharga dalam mencapai kesuksesan dalam pendidikan di lingkungan sekolah. ; This study is motivated by the lack of character education and feedback that occurred during the COVID-19 pandemic, resulting in a lack of self-esteem in students which is marked by rampant cases of bullying, depression, suicide in students in Indonesia. This study aims to determine whether providing positive feedback, neutral feedback, and a control group improves the self-esteem development of elementary school students. Then which treatment is the most optimal in improving the self-esteem of elementary school students. The method in this study is a quantitative approach with a type of quasi experiment, with a pretest posttest control group design with a population of SDN 178 Gegerkalong KPAD, with a class V sample of 81 students. The instrument used in this study is the Hare Salf-esteem Scale questionnaire which has been tested for validity. Data analysis techniques in this study are paired sample t-test and one way anova. The conclusion in this study is that giving positive feedback, neutral feedback, and the control group has an effect on the development of self-esteem of elementary school students. And the provision of positive feedback treatment has the most significant impact on the development of self-esteem of elementary school students. As a teacher, we must pay attention to students' self-esteem because having strong self-esteem is a very valuable asset in achieving success in education in the school environment.
