Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas media pablo (pattern block) terhadap kemampuan spasial siswa fase A pada mata pelajaran seni rupa tentang materi kolase. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan yang ditemukan dari tes yang dilakukan pada studi pendahuluan yang menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan spasial siswa fase A berada pada kategori rendah berdasarkan tabel skala kemampuan. Rendahnya kemampuan spasial siswa fase A disebabkan oleh pembelajaran yang tidak didukung dengan penggunaan media pembelajaran. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan, yaitu pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain pre-experimental design. Bentuk pre-experimental design yang digunakan pada penelitian ini berupa one-group pre-test post-test design. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 10 siswa kelas II sekolah dasar. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes dengan soal pre-test dan post-test dan lembar observasi. Dengan bentuk soal pilihan ganda masing-masing berjumlah 10 soal yang disusun berdasarkan indikator kemampuan spasial siswa. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan uji statistik menggunakan aplikasi IBM SPSS Statistics 26 for windows. Hasil yang diperoleh berdasarkan uji paired sample t-test menunjukkan nilai sig 0,000 yang menunjukkan bahwa < 0,05 maka, berdasarkan kriteria pengujian hipotesis, yaitu H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima yang menyatakan bahwa terdapat perbedaan kemampuan spasial siswa yang signifikan antara sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan media pablo (pattern block). This study aims to determine the effectiveness of Pablo (pattern block) media on the spatial abilities of phase A students in fine arts subjects on college material. This research was motivated by the problems found from the tests conducted in the preliminary study which showed that the spatial abilities of phase A students were in the low category based on the ability scale table. The low spatial ability of phase A students is caused by learning that is not supported by the use of learning media. The research approach used, namely a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design. The form of pre-experimental design used in this study is a one-group pre-test post-test design. The research sample amounted to 10 grade II elementary school students. The instruments used were tests with pre-test and post-test questions and observation sheets. With the form of multiple choice questions each totaling 10 questions prepared based on indicators of students' spatial abilities. The data analysis technique was carried out with statistical tests using the IBM SPSS Statistics 26 for Windows application. The results obtained based on the paired sample t-test show a sig value of 0.000 which indicates that <0.05 then, based on the hypothesis testing criteria, H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted which states that there is a significant difference in students' spatial abilities between before and after using pablo (pattern block) media.
