Abstract
Dalam penelitian ini, dilakukan sebuah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam pembelajaran Penjas menggunakan Model Pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) di SMA Negeri 1 Jalancagak. Penelitian ini dilakukan karena rendahnya tingkat kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa yang disebabkan oleh metode pembelajaran yang belum mendorong siswa untuk menghadapi soal dengan tingkat kognitif C4-C6. Banyak siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami langkah-langkah yang harus diambil dalam permainan, seperti ke mana harus bergerak atau apa yang harus dilakukan saat memiliki bola. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan yang signifikan dalam kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa setelah menerapkan Model Pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL). Pada siklus pertama, rata-rata kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa adalah 45.6, yang meningkat menjadi 70.9 pada siklus kedua. Ini mengindikasikan peningkatan sebesar 25.3 poin dalam kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Selain itu, terjadi peningkatan yang cukup besar dalam ketuntasan klasikal, yaitu dari 15.15% pada siklus pertama menjadi 87.88% pada siklus kedua, yang menggambarkan peningkatan sebesar 72.73%. Secara keseluruhan, penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Model Pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa di bidang Penjas. Hal ini memberikan implikasi bahwa pendekatan pembelajaran yang mendorong siswa untuk memecahkan masalah dan menghadapi tantangan dengan berpikir kritis dapat memberikan manfaat yang signifikan dalam peningkatan prestasi belajar mereka. Kata Kunci : Problem Based Learning, Berpikir Kritis, Penjas THE EFFECT OF PROBLEM-BASED LEARNING MODEL ON CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS AT SMAN 1 JALANCAGAK In this research, a Classroom Action Research (PTK) was conducted to improve students' critical thinking skills in Physical Education learning using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) Learning Model at SMA Negeri 1 Jalancagak. This research was conducted because of the low level of students' critical thinking abilities caused by learning methods that did not encourage students to face questions at a cognitive level of C4-C6. Many students have difficulty understanding the steps to take in the game, such as where to move or what to do when in possession of the ball. The results of this research show that there is a significant increase in students' critical thinking abilities after implementing the Problem Based Learning (PBL) Learning Model. In the first cycle, the average critical thinking ability of students was 45.6, which increased to 70.9 in the second cycle. This indicates an increase of 25.3 points in students' critical thinking abilities. Apart from that, there was a considerable increase in classical completeness, namely from 15.15% in the first cycle to 87.88% in the second cycle, which represents an increase of 72.73%. Overall, this research shows that the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model is effective in improving students' critical thinking skills in the Physical Education field. This has the implication that a learning approach that encourages students to solve problems and face challenges by thinking critically can provide significant benefits in increasing their learning achievement.
