Abstract

Penelitian dilatarbelakangi oleh siswa kelas V SD yang menunjukkan perilaku tidak mencerminkan persatuan dan kesatuan yang salah satunya disebabkan oleh ketidakpahaman siswa terhadap materi. Selain itu, pembelajaran PPKn masih berpusat pada guru serta penyampaiannya kurang variatif dari segi model dan media pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh hasil belajar siswa kelas V SD pada pembelajaran PPKn materi Persatuan dan Kesatuan setelah penerapan model brain based learning berbantuan film animasi “Luca” dan perbandingannya dengan penerapan model cooperative learning serta respon siswa kelas eksperimen terhadap pembelajaran. Pendekatan penelitian ini menggunakan kuantitatif dengan metode penelitian eksperimen kuasi dan desain penelitian non-equivalent control group design. Sampel dari penelitian digunakan dengan 48 siswa kelas V SD terbagi menjadi kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Hasil analisis menunjukkan (1) penerapan model brain based learning berbantuan film animasi “Luca” berpengaruh signifikan dalam peningkatan hasil belajar siswa kelas V SD pada pembelajaran PPKn materi Persatuan dan Kesatuan. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji paired sample t-tes dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05 dan uji N-gain sebesar 63%, (2) terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada peningkatan hasil belajar siswa kelas V SD pada pembelajaran PPKn materi persatuan dan kesatuan antara penerapan model brain based learning berbantuan film animasi “Luca” dengan penerapan model cooperative learning. Uji perbedaan menggunakan uji independent sample t-test dengan nilai signifikansi 0,009 < 0,05, (3) terdapat respon baik atau positif sebesar 87,90% dari siswa kelas V SD terkait pembelajaran model brain based learning berbantuan film animasi “Luca”. ----------- The research was motivated by fifth grade elementary school students who showed behavior that did not reflect to unity and oneness, one of which was caused by the students' lack of understanding of the material. Apart from that, Civics learning is still teacher-centered and the delivery is less varied in terms of learning models and media. This research aims to analyze the influence of the learning outcomes of fifth grade elementary school students on Unity and Oneness material in Civics learning after implementing the brain based learning model assisted by the animated film "Luca" and its comparison with the cooperative learning model as well as the experimental class students' response to the learning process. This research uses quantitative approach with quasi-experimental research method and non-equivalent control group research designs. The sample comprised of 48 fifth grade elementary school students which divided into experimental class and control class. The results of the analysis shows that (1) the implementation of the brain based learning model assisted by the animated film "Luca" has a significantly effect on increasing the learning outcomes of fifth grade elementary school students on Unity and Oneness material in Civics learning. The data analysis techniques using paired sample t-test with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 and an N-gain test of 63%, (2) there is a significant difference on the improvement of the learning outcomes of fifth grade elementary school students on Unity and Oneness material in Civics learning between those using the brain based learning model assisted by the animated film "Luca" and those of the cooperative learning model. The difference test being used is the independent sample t-test with a significance value of 0.009 < 0.05, (3) there is a good or positive response of 87.90% from fifth grade elementary school students regarding the brain based learning model assisted by the animated film "Luca".
