Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dengan masih rendahnya hasil belajar siswa pada materi kegiatan ekonomi serta kurangnya perkembangan penggunaan model pembelajaran oleh guru ketika proses pembelajarandi kelas. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengukur dampak dari adanya penerapan model pembelajaran RADEC dan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning (PjBL) terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas pada pembelajaran IPS materi kegiatan ekonomi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu quasi ekperimen dengan desain non-equivalent (Pre Test and Post Testt) comparison-group design yang melibatkan dua kelas eksperimen. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 30 siswa pada setiap kelompok eksperimen. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan lembar observasi dan tes. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran RADEC terdiri dari 5 tahapan, yaitu read (membaca), answer(menjawab), discuss (berdiskusi), explain (menjelaskan), dan create (mencipta). Adapun model pembelajaran Project Based Learning terdiri dari 6 tahapan yaitu pertanyaan mendasar, mendesain perencanaan proyek, menyusun jadwal pembuatan proyek, memonitoring keaktifan dan perkembangan proyek, menguji hasil, evaluasi pengalaman belajar. Selanjutnya berdasarkan hasil uji Mann Whitney ditemukan bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar siswa pada kelas yang menggunakan model RADEC dan kelas yang menggunakan model Project Based Learning. Berdasarkan pada skor n-gain kelas yang menggunakan model RADEC mendapat skor lebih baik pada kategori sedang dibandingkan kelas yang menggunakan model Project Based Learning dengan kategori rendah. ------------- This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes of students on the material of economic activities and the lack of development of the use of learning models by teachers during the learning process in the classroom. The purpose of this study was to measure the impact of the application of the RADEC learning model and the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model on the learning outcomes of grade students on social studies learning material on economic activities. The research method used was a quasi�experiment with a non-equivalent (Pre Test and Post Test) comparison-group design involving two experimental classes. The research sample consisted of 30 students in each experimental group. The research instruments used observation sheets and tests. Research results, it was found that the application of RADEC learning model consists of 5 stages, namely read, answer, discuss, explain, and create. The project-based learning model consists of 6 stages, namely fundamental questions, designing project plans, preparing project schedules, monitoring project activity and development, testing results, evaluating learning experiences. Furthermore, based on the results of the Mann Whitney test, it was found that there were differences in student learning outcomes in classes using the RADEC model and classes using the Project Based Learning model. Based on the n-gain score, the class that used the RADEC model scored better in the medium category than the class used the project based learning model in the low category.
