Abstract
Penerapan pembelajaran inkuiri pada siswa yang terbiasa dengan pembelajaran konvensional menyebabkan rendahnya hasil belajar ranah kognitif dan sikap ilmiah siswa. Berdasarkan observasi ditemukan penerapan pembelajaran inkuiri yang tidak efektif dan optimal sehingga siswa tidak terfasilitasi untuk menguasai konsep pada jenjang kognitif yang lebih tinggi; C2, C3, dan C4. Strategi reading infusion menjembatani kesenjangan antara pembelajaran konvensional yang lebih bersifat teacher centered dengan pembelajaran inkuiri yang lebih bersifat student centered, sehingga siswa lebih siap untuk berinkuiri dan menciptakan pembelajaran inkuiri yang lebih efektif dan optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan gambaran peningkatan hasil belajar ranah kognitif dan sikap ilmiah siswa sebagai pengaruh dari penerapan strategi reading infusion pada pembelajaran inkuiri dibandingkan dengan siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran inkuiri tanpa reading infusion. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pretest-posttest control group design. Pada kelas eksperimen dilakukan perlakuan berupa pembelajaran inkuiri dengan reading infusion. Pada kelas kontrol dilakukan perlakuan berupa pembelajaran inkuiri tanpa reading infusion. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan strategi reading infusion pada pembelajaran inkuiri dapat lebih meningkatkan hasil belajar ranah kognitif dan sikap ilmiah siswa dibandingkan dengan siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran inkuiri tanpa reading infusion. Untuk hasil belajar ranah kognitif perbandingan rata-rata gain ternormalisasi (g-ave) sebesar 0,59 berbanding 0,54dengan ukuran efek d sebesar 0,68 terkategori sedang. Sedangkan untuk sikap ilmiah perbandingan rata-rata gain (g-ave) sebesar 0,59 berbanding 0,49 dengan ukuran efek d sebesar 1,02 terkategori sangat besar. Persentase penampakan perilaku sikap ilmiah siswa lebih tinggi sebesar 82% berbanding 73%. Reading strategies infusion bridging the gap between conventional learning is more teacher centered with inquiry learning a more student centered, so that students are better prepared to inquiry learning and create a more effective and optimal. This study aims to describe the increase in cognitive learning outcomes and scientific attitude of students as the effect of the implementation of reading strategies infusion on inquiry learning compared to students who learn inquiry learning without reading infusion. This study used quantitative methods with a pretest-posttest control group design. In the experimental class performed a treatment inquiry learning by reading infusion. In the control class treatment is done in the form of inquiry learning without reading infusion. The results showed that the application of reading strategies infusion on inquiry learning can further improve the results of cognitive learning and scientific attitude of students as compared to students who earn inquiry learning without reading infusion. For comparison the results of cognitive learning an average normalized gain (g-ave) of 0.59 versus 0.54 with d effect size of 0.68 is medium categorized. As for the scientific attitude of the average normalized gain (g-ave) of 0.59 compared to 0.49 with d effect size of 1.02 is very large categorized.
