Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh proses pembelajaran menulis tegak bersambung di kelas rendah masih belum efektif. Kesulitan dalam kemampuan menulis tegak bersambung oleh siswa tampak dari ketidakrapihan tulisan mereka. Kurangnya ketersediaan media pembelajaran di sekolah dasar membuat siswa kurang terlatih dalam proses menulis tegak bersambung.Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mendeskripsikan rancangan desain dan pengembangan media buku berlatih menulis tegak bersambung; (2) mendeskripsikan hasil uji kelayakan meda; (3) mendeskripsikan hasil kefektifan media (4) mendeskripsikan hasil respons guru dan siswa terhadap media buku berlatih menulis tegak bersmabung. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan Design and Development tipe 1 dengan model Richey & Klein. Prosedur penelitian terdiri dari analysis, design, development, dan try out and evaluation. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, angket, kuesioner, dan tes dengan menggunakan analisis data kualitatif, statistik deskriptif, dan uji wilcoxon. Pada tahap pengembangan, media buku berlatih dikembangkan menggunakan aplikasi Canva. Hasil uji kelayakan media buku berlatih oleh validator materi dan bahasa diperoleh skor 89% dan hasil uji kelayakan oleh validator media diperoleh skor 87,5% dengan kriteria “Sangat Layak”. Pengujian meda ini memperoleh nilai Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) adalah 0,000, maka Hₐ diterima dikarenakan 0,000 < 0,05 dan memperoleh nilai rata-rata N-Gain Score sebesar 0,7528, maka kategori yang diperolah yaitu tinggi artinya efektivitasnya tinggi. Respons uji coba penggunaan media buku berlatih pada guru kelas III menunjukkan respons sangat baik dengan skor 93,75% dan siswa dengan skor 94%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran buku berlatih sangat layak dan efektif untuk digunakan pada pembelajaran keterampilan menulis tegak bersambung di sekolah dasar. ----------- This research is motivated by the learning process of cursive writing in lower grades which is still ineffective. The difficulty in students' cursive writing skills can be seen from the untidiness of their writing. The lack of availability of learning media in elementary schools makes students less trained in the process of cursive writing. Therefore, this study aims to (1) describe the design and development of cursive writing practice book media; (2) describe the results of the media feasibility test; (3) describe the results of the media effectiveness (4) describe the results of teacher and student responses to cursive writing practice book media. This research method uses Design and Development type 1 with the Richey & Klein model. The research procedure consists of analysis, design, development, and try out and evaluation. Data collection techniques use interviews, questionnaires, questionnaires, and tests using qualitative data analysis, descriptive statistics, and the Wilcoxon test. At the development stage, the practice book media was developed using the Canva application. The results of the practice book media feasibility test by the material and language validator obtained a score of 89% and the results of the media validator's feasibility test obtained a score of 87.5% with the criteria "Very Feasible". This media test obtained an Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000, then Hₐ was accepted because 0.000 <0.05 and obtained an average N-Gain Score value of 0.7528, then the category obtained was high, meaning its effectiveness was high. The response to the trial of using practice book media on grade III teachers showed a very good response with a score of 93.75% and students with a score of 94%. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the practice book learning media is very feasible and effective for use in learning cursive writing skills in elementary schools.
