Abstract

Kurangnya eksistensi batik di kalangan generasi muda berdampak terhadap lunturnya kebudayaan negara Indonesia. Untuk menjaga eksistensi batik diperlukan pengenalan melalui modul ajar. Modul ini diharapkan dapat menjadi bahan ajar bagi guru dan siswa dalam pembelajaran. Melalui modul ini diharapkan siswa mampu memahami materi batik dan dapat menambah motivasi siswa untuk belajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mendeskripsikan desain pengembangan modul ajar batik bermuatan etnosains untuk siswa kelas V sekolah dasar, (2) mendeskripsikan hasil pengembangan modul ajar batik bermuatan etnosains untuk siswa kelas V sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Design and Development (DnD) dengan model 4D (Four-D) yang dikembangkan oleh Thiagarajan (1974). Model 4D terdiri atas tahap pendefinisian, desain, pengembangan, dan penyebaran. Data penelitian ini diperoleh dengan wawancara dan angket. Hasil penelitian ini (1) desain pengembangan modul ajar batik bermuatan etnosains didesain menggunakan aplikasi digital Canva berukuran A5, modul ini terdiri atas bagian pendahuluan, bagian inti dan bagian penutup, (2) hasil pengembangan modul ajar batik bermuatan etnosains telah divalidasi oleh para ahli. Hasil angket validasi ahli bahasa termasuk dalam kategori “Sangat Layak” dengan persentase 85,58%. Hasil validasi ahli media termasuk dalam kategori “Sangat Layak” dengan persentase 87,93%, dan hasil validasi ahli materi termasuk dalam kategori “Sangat Layak” dengan persentase 95,8%. Respon guru memperoleh hasil 100% dengan kategori “Sangat Menarik”. Pada tahap uji coba produk yang dilakukan di SDN Ciluluk 01 yang melibatkan 31 siswa, diperoleh persentase sebesar 90,23% dengan kategori “Sangat Menarik” untuk digunakan sebagai bahan belajar. ---------- The lack of batik existence among the younger generation has an impact on the fading of Indonesian culture. To maintain the existence of batik, an introduction through teaching modules is needed. This module is expected to be a teaching material for teachers and students in learning. Through this module, students are expected to be able to understand batik material and can increase student motivation to learn. This research aims to: (1) describe the development design of batik teaching module with ethnoscience content for grade V elementary school students, (2) describe the results of the development of batik teaching module with ethnoscience content for grade V elementary school students. This research uses the Design and Development (DnD) method with the 4D (Four-D) model developed by Thiagarajan (1974). The 4D model consists of defining, designing, developing, and disseminating stages. The data of this study were obtained by interview and questionnaire. The results of this study (1) the design of the development of ethnoscientific batik teaching modules was designed using the A5 Canva digital application, this module consists of an introductory section, a core section and a closing section, (2) the results of the development of batik teaching modules with ethnoscience content have been validated by experts. The results of the linguist validation questionnaire were included in the “Very Feasible” category with a percentage of 85.58%. The results of media expert validation are included in the “Very Feasible” category with a percentage of 87.93%, and the results of material expert validation are included in the “Very Feasible” category with a percentage of 95.8%. Teacher response obtained a result of 100% with the category “Very Interesting”. At the product trial stage conducted at SDN Ciluluk 01 involving 31 students, a percentage of 90.23% was obtained in the “Very Interesting” category to be used as learning material.
