Abstract

Penelitian dilatarbelakangi oleh sulitnya siswa dalam mengingat dan memahami konsep pada materi keragaman budaya negeriku yang telah diajarkan guru sehingga kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa sangat beragam. Hal tersebut tentunya disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor diantaranya faktor dari dalam diri siswa, Adapun faktor dari luar diri siswa. Dari permasalahan tersebut peneliti bermaksud untuk menganalisis kemampuan konsep siswa dalam pembelajaran IPS pada materi keragaman budaya. Metode penelitian yang peneliti gunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV Sekolah Dasar Sukamerang 03. Teknik pengumpulan data penelitian ini menggunakan soal tes pemahaman konsep yang berjumlahkan 20 soal, angket dan dokumentasi. Pada instrumen penelitian ini yaitu soal tes dan angket. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman konsep siswa secara keseluruhan memiliki hasil yang cukup baik. Hal tersebut dibuktikan dari hasil tes peserta didik tertinggi yaitu pada indikator menafsirkan total presentase 93,3%, kemudian mencontohkan total presentase 83,67% , mengkasifikasikan total presentase 90%, merangkum total presentase 90%, menyimpulkan total presentase 80,6%, membandingkan 88,3%, dan menjelaskan total presentase 93,3%. Faktor yang mempengaruhi tingkat pemahaman konsep siswa kelas IV SDN 3 Sukamerang sudah baik. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari hasil angket 88% siswa sudah memiliki minat dalam belajar keragaman budaya, artinya bahwa banyak siswa yang berminat dalam mengikuti pembelajaran keragaman. Tingkat ketercapaian Siswa Kelas IV SDN 3 Sukamerang dalam pemamahaman konsep IPS dikatakan baik hal itu terlihat pada hasil tes pemahaman konsep yang mana jawaban siswa akan diakumulasikan dengan indikator pemahaman konsep sehingga nanti hasilnya akan terlihat. ---------- The research was motivated by the difficulty of students in remembering and understanding the concepts in the cultural diversity material of my country that has been taught by teachers so that students' ability to understand concepts is very diverse. This is of course caused by several factors, including factors from within the student, as well as factors from outside the student. From these problems, the researcher intends to analyze students' conceptual abilities in social studies learning on cultural diversity materials. The research method used by the researcher is quantitative descriptive. The subject of this study is a fourth grade student of Sukamerang 03 Elementary School. The data collection technique of this research uses a concept comprehension test question that totals 20 questions, questionnaires and documentation. The instruments of this research are test questions and questionnaires. The results of this study show that students' overall understanding of concepts has quite good results. This is evidenced by the results of the highest student test, namely on the indicator of interpreting the total percentage of 93.3%, then giving an example of the total percentage of 83.67%, casifying the total percentage of 90%, summarizing the total percentage of 90%, concluding the total percentage of 80.6%, comparing 88.3%, and explaining the total percentage of 93.3%. The factors that affect the level of understanding of the concept of grade IV students of SDN 3 Sukamerang are good. This can be seen from the results of the questionnaire that 88% of students already have an interest in learning about cultural diversity, meaning that many students are interested in participating in diversity learning. The level of achievement of Grade IV students of SDN 3 Sukamerang in understanding the concept of social studies is said to be good, it can be seen in the results of the concept comprehension test where the students' answers will be accumulated with concept comprehension indicators so that later the results will be seen.
