Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya keterampilan membaca pemahaman siswa sekolah dasar pada materi teks narasi fiksional. Hal tersebut disebabkan kurangnya kegiatan literasi siswa dan berfokusnya kegiatan membaca siswa di kelas pada buku teks pelajaran karena kurangnya ketersediaan buku bacaan yang sesuai dengan tahapan pembaca semenjana Fase C sehingga keterampilan membaca siswa masih rendah. Oleh karenanya, perlu adanya media buku bacaan yang diharapkan dapat meningkatkan keterampilan membaca pemahaman siswa diantaranya yaitu website Let’s Read. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas website Let’s Read dalam meningkatkan keterampilan membaca pemahaman siswa Fase C. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan model pre-eksperimental design bentuk one group pre-test-post-test design. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah purposive sampling dengan jumlah 21 siswa kelas V sekolah dasar. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu instrumen tes berupa pre-test post-test. Hasil analisis uji sample paired T-test menunjukan adanya perbedaan rata-rata yang signifikan, maka dapat diartikan bahwa penggunaan website Let’s Read efektif digunakan dalam meningkatkan keterampilan membaca pemahaman siswa pada materi teks narasi fiksional Fase C kelas V dengan keefektifan yang tinggi diperoleh dari hasil uji N-Gain. This study was motivated by the low reading comprehension skills of elementary school students on fictional narrative text material. This is due to the lack of student literacy activities and the focus of student reading activities in the classroom on textbooks due to the lack of availability of reading books that are in accordance with the stages of Phase C seminarian readers so that students' reading skills are still low. Therefore, it is necessary to have a reading book media that is expected to improve students' reading comprehension skills, including the Let's Read website. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Let's Read website in improving the reading comprehension skills of Phase C students. This research uses quantitative method with pre-experimental design model in the form of one group pre-test-post-test design. The sampling technique used in this study was purposive sampling with a total of 21 grade V elementary school students. The instrument used in this study was a test instrument in the form of a pre-test post-test. The results of the paired sample T-test analysis showed a significant average difference, it can be interpreted that the use of the Let's Read website is effective in improving students' reading comprehension skills on Phase C fictional narrative text material in grade V with high effectiveness obtained from the N-Gain test results.
