Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pemahaman peserta didik di dalam menemukan suatu konsep dalam pembelajaran IPAS yang masih tergolong rendah. Kondisi faktual mengungkapkan bahwa pembelajaran kurang membiasakan pemahaman konsep IPAS sehingga peserta didik kurang mampu dalam menemukan konsep terkait materi pelajaran yang menyebabkan rendahnya pemahaman konsep peserta didik. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, peneliti menerapkan model Student Facilitator and Explaining. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektivitas model student facilitator and explaining terhadap pemahaman konsep IPAS di fase B. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain pre-eksperimen dengan tipe one group pretest�posttest design. Populasi yang digunakan adalah seluruh peserta didik fase B SDN X Kota Bandung. Sampel yang terpilih menggunakan teknik sample random sampling adalah peserta didik fase B SDN X Kota Bandung yang berjumlah 22 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah instrumen tes. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji normalitas, uji perbedaan rerata menggunakan uji Wilcoxon, dan uji efektivitas menggunakan uji paired sample t test. Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh, rata-rata hasil pre-test dan post-test mengalami peningkatan, di mana awalnya 55,73 meningkat menjadi 95,54. Berdasarkan uji perbedaan rerata, diperoleh nilai signifikansi 0,001 < 0,05. Maka, H0 ditolak yang berarti terdapat perbedaan rerata. Berdasarkan uji efektivitas, diperoleh nilai signifikansi 0,001 < 0,05. Maka, H0 ditolak yang berarti model Student Facilitator and Explaining efektif terhadap pemahaman konsep IPAS pada peserta didik fase B. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model Student Facilitator and Explaining efektif terhadap pemahaman konsep IPAS pada peserta didik fase B. This research is motivated by students' understanding of finding a concept in science learning which is still relatively low. Factual conditions reveal that learning does not get used to understanding science concepts so that students are less able to find concepts related to subject matter which causes students' low understanding of concepts. To overcome this problem, researchers applied the Student Facilitator and Explaining model. The aim of this research is to determine the effectiveness of the student facilitator and explaining model on understanding science concepts in phase B. This research uses a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design (one group pre-test-post-test). The population used was all phase B students at SDN X Bandung City. The sample selected using the random sampling technique was 22 phase B students at SDN X Bandung City. The instrument used is a test instrument. The data analysis used was the normality test, the mean difference test using the Wilcoxon test, and the effectiveness test using the paired sample t test. Based on the data obtained, the average pre-test and post-test results have increased, where initially 55.73 increased to 95.54. Based on the mean difference test, a significance value of 0.001 <0.05 was obtained. So, H0 is rejected, which means there is a difference in the means. Based on the effectiveness test, a significance value of 0.001 < 0.05 was obtained. So, H0 is rejected, which means that the Student Facilitator and Explaining model is effective in understanding science concepts in phase B students. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the Student Facilitator and Explaining model is effective in understanding science concepts in phase B students
