Abstract

Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui seberapa besar peran guru pendidikan jasmani terhadap pembentukan karakter siswa SMP Negeri se-Kota Bandung. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu seluruh SMP Negeri se-Kota Bandung yang berjumlah 75 sekolah. Sampel yang diambil yaitu sebanyak 20% dari populasi yang hasilnya itu ada 15 sekolah. Dalam pengambilan sampel penulis menggunakan teknik sample random sampling. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuisioner/angket dengan skala likert 5 kategori. Data yang terkumpul diolah dengan menggunakan metode persentase. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian di atas dapat diketahui bahwa peran guru pendidikan jasmani terhadap pembentukan karakter siswa SMP Negeri Se-Kota Bandung berada pada kategori sedang di angka 43% atau sebanyak 20 responden. Berikut adalah data lengkap dari hasil penelitian ini, kategori sangat tinggi sebesar 4% atau sebanyak 2 responden, kategori tinggi sebesar 28% atau sebanyak 13 responden, kategori sedang sebesar 43% atau sebanyak 20 responden, kategori rendah sebesar 9% atau sebanyak 4 responden dan kategori sangat rendah sebesar 15% atau sebanyak 7 responden. The purpose of this study was to determine how much the role of physical education teachers on character building of public junior high school students in Bandung City. The method used in this research is descriptive with a quantitative approach. The population in this study were all public junior high schools in Bandung City which amounted to 75 schools. The sample taken was 20% of the population which resulted in 8 schools. In sampling the authors used a sample random sampling technique. The research instrument used is a questionnaire / questionnaire with a Likert scale of 5 categories. The collected data is processed using the percentage method. Based on the results of the above research, it can be seen that the role of PE teachers in shaping the character of students in public junior high schools in Bandung City is in the moderate category at 43% or as many as 20 respondents. The following is complete data from the results of this study, a very high category of 4% or as many as 2 respondents, a high category of 28% or as many as 13 respondents, a medium category of 43% or as many as 20 respondents, a low category of 9% or as many as 4 respondents and a very low category of 15% or as many as 7 respondents.
