    Abstract

    Membaca pemahaman adalah kegiatan membaca secara cermat dan mendalam untuk memperoleh dan memahami makna yang terkandung dalam suatu teks bacaan dengan melibatkan pengetahuan dan pengalaman pembaca untuk dihubungkan pada isi bacaan, yang bertujuan untuk menambah pengetahuan baru pembaca. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa sekolah dasar terutama pada materi teks eksplanasi. Hal ini terjadi karena kurangnya penerapan dan penggunaan media dan model pembelajaran yang interaktif. Salah satu usaha yang dapat dilakukan adalah dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) berbantuan media digital Lumio. Peneliti menggunakan metode penelitian quasi experiment dengan desain penelitian Pre-test and Post-test with Non-Equivalent Control-Group Design untuk menguji ada atau tidaknya pengaruh dari penerapan model pembelajaran tersebut pada kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa terutama pada materi teks eksplanasi. Sampel penelitian yang digunakan yaitu siswa kelas V SDN 1 Tegalmunjul sebanyak dua kelas yaitu kelas eksperimen dan kontrol bejumlah 28 siswa perkelas dengan total 56 siswa. Ditemukan perbedaan kemampuan membaca pemahaman teks eksplanasi siswa kelas eksperimen dan kontrol berdasarkan hasil uji Independent Sample T-Test data post-test kelas eksperimen dan kontrol yang memperoleh nilai (Sig.) 0,004. Artinya, siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran menggunakan model Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition berbantuan media digital Lumio lebih baik dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol yang menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Jigsaw. Diketahui pula bahwa model Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition berbantuan media digital Lumio berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan membaca pemahaman teks eksplanasi siswa kelas V SDN 1 Tegalmunjul dengan perolehan nilai sig. pada uji signifikansi regresi sebesar 0,002, yang berarti terdapat pengaruh antara model Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition berbantuan media digital Lumio terhadap kemampuan membaca pemahaman teks eksplanasi siswa kelas V sekolah dasar.

    Reading comprehension is an activity of reading carefully and deeply to obtain and understand the meaning contained in a text, involving the reader's knowledge and experience to connect with the content, with the aim of gaining new knowledge. This research is motivated by the low reading comprehension ability of elementary school students, especially on explanatory text material. This occurs due to the lack of application and use of interactive teaching media and models. One effort that can be made is to apply the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) learning model assisted by Lumio digital media. The researcher used a quasi-experimental research method with a Pre-test and Post-test with Non-Equivalent Control-Group Design to test whether there is an effect of applying this learning model on students' reading comprehension ability, particularly on explanatory text material. The research sample consisted of fifth-grade students from SDN 1 Tegalmunjul, divided into two classes: an experimental class and a control class, with 28 students per class, totaling 56 students. A difference in the explanatory text reading comprehension ability between the experimental and control classes was found based on the results of the Independent Sample T-Test on post-test data from the experimental and control classes, which obtained a significance value (Sig.) of 0.004. This means that students who received learning using the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition model assisted by Lumio digital media performed better compared to the control class using the Jigsaw cooperative learning model. It was also found that the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition model assisted by Lumio digital media has an effect on the explanatory text reading comprehension ability of fifth-grade students at SDN 1 Tegalmunjul, with a significance value of 0.002, indicating an influence between the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition model assisted by Lumio digital media on the explanatory text reading comprehension ability of fifth-grade elementary school students.
