Abstract

Kemampuan berpikir kritis yang termasuk kedalam salah satu dari 4C (critical thinking, communication, collaboration, dan creativity), mesti diterapkan dalam pembelajaran guna menghadapi tantangan abad ke-21. Gambar dapat membantu mengasah kemampuan berpikir dan analisis peserta didik. Berpikir kritis dalam pembelajaran terlihat dalam aktivitas belajarnya. Dan dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran di kelas, tidak luput dari penggunaan model pembelajaran. Untuk memenuhi hal itu, peneliti menggunakan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Picture and Picture. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektivitas pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Picture and Picture terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik kelas V sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain pre eksperimen tipe one group pretest-posttest. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah sekolah di Desa Mekarsaluyu Kabupaten Bandung. Sampel yang dipilih menggunakan teknik cluster sampling adalah peserta didik kelas V di SDN X Kabupaten Bandung, berjumlah 24 peserta didik. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes berjumlah 10 soal pertanyaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan rata-rata yang signifikan antara hasil pretest dan posttest. Dibuktikan dengan uji paired sample t-test yang menghasilkan nilai signifikansi 0,000<0,005. Selain itu, uji N-Gain menunjukkan besar keefektivan dengan jumlah 76%. Sehingga dapat diketahui bahwa model kooperatif tipe Picture and Picture berada pada kategori efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik kelas V sekolah dasar. Critical thinking skills, which are included in one of the 4Cs (critical thinking, communication, collaboration and creativity), must be applied in learning to face the challenges of the 21st century. Pictures can help hone students' thinking and analyzing skills. Critical thinking in learning can be seen in learning activities. And in implementing learning in class, the use of learning models cannot be avoided. To fulfill this, researchers used a Picture and Picture type cooperative learning model. The aim of this research is to determine the effectiveness of Picture and Picture type cooperative learning on the critical thinking abilities of fifth grade elementary school students. This research uses a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design type one group pretest-posttest. The population in this study were schools in Mekarsaluyu Village, Bandung Regency. The sample selected using the cluster sampling technique was class V students at SDN X Bandung Regency, totaling 24 students. The instrument used in this research was a test with 10 questions. The research results showed that there was a significant average difference between the pretest and posttest results. Proven by the paired sample t-test which produces a significance value of 0.000<0.005. Apart from that, the N-Gain test showed great effectiveness with a total of 76%. So it can be seen that the Picture and Picture type cooperative model is in the effective category in improving the critical thinking skills of fifth grade elementary school students.
