Abstract

Menulis merupakan keterampilan dasar yang harus dikuasai siswa diantaranya menulis teks deskripsi. Kenyataan di lapangan menunjukkan siswa sekolah dasar belum memiliki keterampilan menulis teks deskripsi yang diharapkan. Untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis teks deskripsi siswa diperlukan inovasi pembelajaran, yaitu menggunakan model pembelajaran Kooperatif tipe Picture and Picture berbantuan aplikasi Kahoot!. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keterampilan menulis teks deskripsi siswa dan mengetahui pengaruh model Kooperatif tipe Picture and Picture berbantuan aplikasi Kahoot! terhadap keterampilan menulis teks deskripsi siswa sekolah dasar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah pre-eksperimen one group pretest-posttest design. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas IV di salah satu sekolah dasar di Kabupaten Karawang yang berjumlah 22 siswa. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini yaitu tes uraian serta lembar observasi. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan pengaruh sebesar 40,3% terhadap keterampilan menulis teks deskripsi siswa. Selain itu, terdapat perbedaan antara keterampilan menulis teks deskripsi siswa sebelum dan setelah diberi perlakuan dengan menerapkan model Kooperatif tipe Picture and Picture berbantuan aplikasi Kahoot!. ----- Writing is a crucial skill that students must possess, including writing descriptive texts. The reality in the field indicates that elementary school students do not yet have the expected skill in writing descriptive texts. To improve students' skills in writing descriptive texts, learning innovation is needed, specifically by using the Picture and Picture Cooperative Learning model aided by the Kahoot! application. This research aims to assess elementary school students' skills in writing descriptive texts and to determine the impact of the Picture and Picture Cooperative Learning model aided by the Kahoot! application on improving these skills. The research method employed was pre-experimental research with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample in this study consist of 22 grade IV students from an elementary school in Karawang Regency. The instruments in this research were essay tests and observation sheets. The results of the research indicated a 40.3% improvement in students' skills in writing descriptive texts. Additionally, there is a difference between students' descriptive text writing skills before and after the treatment with the implementation of Picture and Picture Cooperative Learning model aided by the Kahoot! application.
