Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya keterampilan menulis karangan narasi pada siswa sekolah dasar. Peneliti menemukan masih banyak siswa yang mengalami kesulitan pada saat kegiatan menulis, masih terdapat siswa yang mengalami kesulitan dalam mengungkapkan ide, pikiran atau gagasan kedalam bentuk tulisan, mengalami kesulitan dalam merangkai kata-kata untuk membentuk kalimat dan menulis sesuai dengan struktur yang benar. Peneliti memilih jenis Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) untuk memecahkan permasalahan yang diangkat, dimana pada kelas IV SDN Cintamekar terdapat siswa yang kurang dalam hal menulis serta guru yang kurang maksimal dalam penggunaan model dan media pembelajaran. Pada siklus I aktivitas guru memperoleh nilai rata-rata 96% sedangkan pada siklus II aktivitas guru memperoleh nilai rata-rata 100%. Begitu juga dengan aktivitas siswa pada siklus I memperoleh nilai rata-rata 74% sedangkan pada siklus II aktivitas siswa memperoleh nilai rata-rata 96%. Pada hasil tes siklus I hanya 7 siswa yang tuntas dalam pembelajaran dan 7 siswa tidak tuntas dalam pembelajaran. Siklus I hanya memperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 62,57 dengan tingkat keberhasilan hanya mencapai 50%. Pada hasil tes siklus II terjadi peningkatan dilihat dari 12 siswa tuntas dalam belajar dan yang tidak tuntas 2 siswa dengan jumlah nilai rata-rata di angka 87,28 dengan tingkat keberhasilan mencapai 86%. Hasil pada siklus II sudah memenuhi dari syarat ketuntasan klasikal suatu kelas dengan melebihi 85%. Berdasarkan hasil akhir pada siklus II bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran project based learning berbantuan media Padlet dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menulis karangan narasi siswa sekolah dasar. ----- This research is motivated by the low level of narrative text writing skills in elementary school students. Researchers found that there were still many students who experienced difficulties during writing activities, there were still students who had difficulty expressing ideas, thoughts or ideas into written form, had difficulty stringing words to form sentences and writing according to the correct structure. Researchers chose the type of class action research to solve the problems raised, where in class IV SDN Cintamekar there are students who are lacking in writing and teachers who are less than optimal in the use of learning models and media. In cycle I teacher activity obtained an average score of 96% while in cycle II teacher activity obtained an average score of 100%. Likewise, the activity of students in cycle I obtained an average score of 74% while in cycle II the activity of students obtained an average score of 96%. In the cycle I test results, only 7 students were complete in learning and 7 students were not complete in learning. Cycle I only obtained an average score of 62.57 with a success rate of only 50%. In the results of the cycle II test, there was an increase seen from 12 students who were complete in learning and 2 students who were not complete with an average score of 87.28 with a success rate of 86%. The results in cycle II have met the requirements of classical completeness of a class by exceeding 85%. Based on the final results in cycle II, the application of project-based learning model assisted by Padlet media can improve the narrative essay writing skills of elementary school students.
