Abstract

Kemampuan membaca disinyalir proses pembelajaran membaca yang dimulai dengan pengenalan lambang, ketepatan anak dalam membaca, dan kesiapan anak dalam belajar membaca permulaan. Sebab banyak siswa yang mengalami kesulitan dalam membaca permulaan pada buku pelajaran sekolah yang baik dan benar. Peneliti ini diharapkan untuk mengetahui: 1) kemampuan awal membaca permulaan sebelum diterapkan metode Jolly Phonics berbantuan aplikasi digital calistung; 2) kemampuan akhir membaca permulaan setelah diterapkan metode Jolly Phonics berbantuan aplikasi digital calistung; 3) pengaruh penerapan metode Jolly Phonics berbantuan aplikasi digital calistung terhadap kemampuan membaca permulaan pada siswa kelas I B. Peneliti melakukan penelitian pada siswa kelas IB adanya masalah ditemukan yaitu rendahnya kemampuan membaca siswa yang dilihat dari siswa tidak bisa membedakan bunyi dan bentuk huruf abjad, siswa masih ada yang mengeja dan tidak bisa membaca dalam kata pada teks bacaan, dan siswa masih ada tidak lancar dalam membaca nyaring. Adapun jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian Pre-Eksperimen tipe One Group Pretest-Posttest. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas I B di SDN Jatiranggon III Kota Bekasi yang berjumlah 28 siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh kesimpulan: 1) nilai rata-rata pretest kemampuan membaca permulaan sebelum diterapkan metode Jolly Phonics berbantuan aplikasi digital calistung berada pada kategori cukup; 2) nilai rata-rata posttest kemampuan akhir membaca permulaan setelah diterapkan metode Jolly Phonics berbantuan aplikasi digital calistung berada pada kategori sangat baik; 3) terdapat pengaruh metode Jolly Phonics berbantuan aplikasi digital calistung terhadap kemampuan membaca permulaan. ----- The ability to read is signaled by the reading learning process that begins with the recognition of symbols, the child's accuracy in reading, and the child's readiness to learn beginning reading. Because many students have difficulty in reading the beginnings of good and correct school textbooks. This researcher is expected to know: 1) the initial ability of beginning reading before applying the Jolly Phonics method assisted by digital calistung application; 2) the final ability of beginning reading after applying the Jolly Phonics method assisted by digital calistung application; 3) the effect of applying the Jolly Phonics method assisted by digital calistung application on the ability of beginning reading in class I B students. Researchers conducted research on IB class students, there was a problem found, namely the low reading ability of students as seen from students who could not distinguish the sounds and shapes of alphabetic letters, students still spelled and could not read in words in reading texts, and students were still not fluent in reading aloud. The type of research used is Pre-Experiment research type One Group Pretest-Posttest. The sample of this study was class I B students at SDN Jatiranggon III Bekasi City, totaling 28 students. Based on the results of the study, the conclusions were obtained: 1) the average value of the pretest of beginning reading ability before applying the Jolly Phonics method assisted by digital calistung application is in the sufficient category; 2) the average value of the posttest of the final ability to read beginning after applying the Jolly Phonics method assisted by digital calistung application is in the very good category; 3) there is an effect of the Jolly Phonics method assisted by digital calistung application on the ability to read beginning.
