    Abstract

    Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan rendahnya kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis nilai tempat bilangan pada siswa fase A sekolah dasar. Berdasarkan studi pendahuluan pada salah satu SD serta didukung literatur penelitian terdahulu, masih ditemukan beberapa kesulitan pada siswa dalam memahami konsep materi nilai tempat bilangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan bahan terhadap peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis nilai tempat bilangan siswa fase A sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif quasi experimental dengan two group pre-test post-test design. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas I sekolah dasar dengan masing-masing 24 siswa pada kelas kontrol maupun kelas eksperimen. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa tes. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya pengaruh penggunaan bahan ajar “NIPATAN” terhadap peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa fase A sekolah dasar.

    This research is motivated by the problem of the low ability to understand the mathematical concept of number place value in elementary school phase a students. Based on preliminary studies at one of the elementary schools and supported by
    previous research literature, there are still some difficulties for students in understanding the concept of number place value material. This study aims to determine the effect of the use of materials on improving the ability to understand the mathematical concept of number place value of phase A elementary school students. This research is a quasi-experiment quantitative research with two group pre-test post-test design. The subjects in this study were first grade elementary school students with 24 students each in the control and experimental classes. The instrument used in this study was a test. Based on the results of this study, it shows
    that there is an effect of using “NIPATAN” teaching materials on improving the ability to understand mathematical concepts of phase A elementary school students.
