Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi karena pemahaman membaca siswa kelas III di Sekolah Dasar masih rendah, dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor seperti rendahnya kemampuan membaca, kurangnya minat membaca, serta model dan media pembelajaran yang monoton. Salah satu solusi untuk meningkatkan pemahaman membaca siswa adalah dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran SAVI dengan media interaktif berbasis mindmap. Model ini menekankan penggunaan semua indera siswa dalam proses pembelajaran dan melibatkan mereka secara aktif. Media interaktif berbasis mindmap ditujukan untuk membuat pembelajaran lebih menarik dan interaktif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh model pembelajaran SAVI menggunakan media interaktif berbasis mindmap terhadap pemahaman membaca siswa kelas III SD dan mengetahui perbedaan hasil pemahaman membaca siswa menggunakan model SAVI dengan menggunakan model konvensional. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain Pre-test Post-test Non-equivalent Control Group Design di kelas III pada dua sekolah yang berbeda. Hasil penelitian menunjukan adanya pengaruh terhadap pemahaman membaca siswa dan terdapat perbedaan pemahaman membaca siswa antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Hal tersebut telah terlihat dari hasil penelitian yang ditunjukan dengan nilai pre-test dan post-test di kelas eksperimen. Nilai pre-test pada kelas eksperimen mendapatkan rata-rata nilai sebesar 40,55, dan nilai post-test mendapatkan nilai rata-rata 85,85 dengan peningkatan sebesar 45,3. Berdasarkan olah data nilai N-Gain kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,7641 dengan kategori tinggi dan nilai N-Gain kelas kontrol sebesar 0,3213 dengan kategori sedang. ----------- This research is motivated by the fact that the reading comprehension of third grade students in elementary school is still low, influenced by several factors such as low reading ability, lack of interest in reading, and monotonous learning models and media. One solution to improve students reading comprehension is to use SAVI learning model with mindmap-based interactive media. This model emphasizes the use of all students' senses in the learning process and involves them actively. Mindmap-based interactive media is intended to make learning more interesting and interactive. This study aims to examine the effect of SAVI learning model using mindmap-based interactive media on reading comprehension of third grade elementary school students and to determine the difference in reading comprehension results between students using SAVI model and using conventional model. The research method used was quasi-experiment with Pre-test Post-test Non- equivalent Control Group Design in class III at two different schools. The results showed that there was an influence on students' reading comprehension and there were differences in students' reading comprehension between the experimental class and the control class This has been seen from the research results shown by the pre-test and post-test scores in the experimental class. The pre-test score in the experimental class got an average score of 40.55, and the post-test score got an average score of 85.85 with an increase of 45.3. Based on data processing, the N-Gain value of the experimental class is 0.7641 with a high category and the N-Gain value of the control class is 0.3213 with a medium category.
