Abstract

Kemampuan mengemukakan pendapat siswa pada pembelajaran PPKn di Kelas V SDN 219 Babakanjati terlihat masih rendah yang ditunjukkan dengan rendahnya keberanian dalam bertanya, menjawab pertanyaan, dan mengemukakan ide atau gagasannya di dalam kelas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan mengemukakan pendapat setelah diberikan model kooperatif tipe talking chips berbantuan media flashcard dan mengetahui perbedaan dari pembelajaran menggunakan mofdel kooepratif tipe Talking Chips dengan metode diskusi. Pendekatan penelitian ini menggunakan kuantitatif dengan metode penelitian kuasi eksperimen dan desain penelitian non-equivalent control group design. Sampel dari penelitian digunakan dengan 50 siswa kelas V SD terbagi menjadi kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Model kooperatif tipe talking chips yang digunakan berhubungan dengan pembelajaran PPKn dan disesuaikan dengam faktor internal yang dapat mempengaruhi hasil kemampuan mengemukakan pendapat siswa. Hasil analisis menunjukkan 1) terdapat peningkatan yang signifikan dari kemampuan mengemukakan pendapat siswa menggunakan model kooperatif tipe Talking Chips berbantuan media flashcard. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskritif, peningkatan dari kelas eksperimen menggunakan uji paired sample t-tes dan uji N-gain, 2) terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan kemampuan mengemukakan pendapat siswa antara kelas yang menggunakan model kooperatif tipe talking chips dengan kelas yang menggunakan metode diskusi. Uji perbedaan menggunakan uji independent sample t-test pada taraf signifikansi α=0,05. Dari hasil analisis deskriptif data kemampuan mengemukakan pendapar diperoleh nilai rata-rata post-test kelas eksperimen sebesar 12,56 dan kelas kontrol sebesar 10,04. Disamping itu, berdasarkan hasil uji independent t-test mendapatkan nilai signifikansi 0,007 (sig. < 0,05). Oleh karena itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa implementasi model kooperatif tipe talking chips berbantuan media flashcard dapat menintkatkan kemampuan mengemukakan siswa khsusunya pada pembelajaran PPKn. --------- The ability to express students' opinions in Civics learning in Class V SDN 219 Babakanjati still appears to be low, as shown by the low level of courage in asking questions, answering questions, and expressing ideas in class. This research aims to determine the increase in the ability to express opinions after being given a talking chips type cooperative model assisted by flashcard media and to determine the differences between learning using the Talking Chips type cooperative model with the discussion method. This research approach uses quantitative quasi-experimental research methods and a non-equivalent control group design. The research sample was used with 50 fifth grade elementary school students divided into experimental class and control class. The talking chips type cooperative model used is related to PPKn learning and is adjusted to internal factors that can influence the results of students' ability to express opinions. The results of the analysis show 1) there is a significant increase in students' ability to express opinions using the Talking Chips type cooperative model assisted by flashcard media. The data analysis technique uses descriptive analysis, improvement from the experimental class uses paired sample t-test and N-gain test, 2) there is a significant difference in students' ability to express opinions between classes that use the talking chips type cooperative model and classes that use the discussion method. The difference test uses the independent sample t-test at a significance level of α=0.05. From the results of descriptive analysis of data on the ability to express opinions, the average post-test score for the experimental class was 12.56 and the control class was 10.04. Besides that, based on the results of the independent t-test, the significance value was 0.007 (sig. < 0.05). Therefore, it can be concluded that the implementation of the talking chips type cooperative model assisted by flashcard media can improve students' ability to express themselves, especially in Civics learning.
