Abstract

Literasi numerasi siswa masih terkategorikan rendah. Salah satunya pada mata pelajaran matematika di sekolah dasar. Literasi numerasi yang berada diposisi rendah menunjukkan bahwa belum adanya perubahan yang signifikan dari tahun ke tahun. Padahal, tidak dapat dipungkiri bahwa kemampuan untuk menguasai hal tersebut menjadi tanggung jawab bersama terutama dalam dunia pendidikan. Rendahnya literasi juga dapat diakibatkan kurang tepatnya kegiatan selama proses belajar mengajar, baik dalam pembentukan rencana pembelajaran, dalam pemanfaatan model pembelajaran, bahkan saat pelaksanaan pembelajaran. Oleh karena itu, untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut peneliti tertarik untuk melakukan penelitian tentang “Penerapan Pendekatan Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) Dalam Upaya Meningkatkan Kemampuan Literasi Numerasi Siswa Sekolah Dasar Pada Materi Pengolahan Data”. Desain penelitian yang digunakan peneliti ialah kuasi eksperimen. Dalam penelitian ini sampel yang diambil adalah siswa kelas V dari dua sekolah dasar yaitu SDN 182 Perumnas Cijerah yang dijadikan sebagai kelas eksperimen dan SDN 014 Cigondewah sebagai kelas kontrol. Metode yang digunakan adalah Pendekatan Realistic Mathematics Education (RME). Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan didapatkan nilai rata-rata pretest kelas eksperimen sebesar 82.8 sedangkan kelas kontrol hanya 73.7 dengan nilai N Gain 1.6 . Nilai rata-rata posttest kelas eksperimen adalah 92 sedangkan kelas kontrol hanya 75.4 dengan nilai N gain 0.1. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan bahwa penerapan pedekatan RME pada pembelejaran matematika di kelas V menghasilkan pengaruh yang cukup efektif dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol. One of them is in mathematics subjects in elementary school. Numeracy literacy which is in a low position shows that there has been no significant change from year to year. In fact, it cannot be denied that the ability to master this is a shared responsibility, especially in the world of education. Low literacy can also be caused by inaccurate activities during the teaching and learning process, both in the formation of learning plans, in the use of learning models, and even during the implementation of learning. Therefore, to overcome this problem, researchers are interested in conducting research on "Application of the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) Approach in an Effort to Improve the Numeracy Literacy Skills of Elementary School Students in Data Processing Material". The research design used by researchers is quasi-experimental. In this study, the samples taken were class V students from two elementary schools, namely SDN 182 Perumnas Cijerah which was used as the experimental class and SDN 014 Cigondewah as the control class. The method used is the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) Approach. Based on the calculation results, it was found that the average pretest score for the experimental class was 82.8, while the control class was only 73.7 with an N-Gain value of 1.6. The average posttest score for the experimental class was 92 while the control class was only 75.4 with an N-Gain value of 0.1. Based on the calculation results, the application of the RME approach to mathematics learning in class V produces quite an effective influence compared to the control class.
