Abstract

Penggunaan media dalam pembelajaran cukup penting, dikarenakan dengan media dapat meningkatkan daya tarik, daya serap, dan memaksimalkan interaksi peserta didik dalam memahami materi pembelajaran. Salah satu media tersebut yaitu flashcard. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media flashcard terhadap tingkat pemahaman peserta didik. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain pre-test post-test group design. Variabelnya yaitu media flashcard dan poster serta tingkat pemahaman peserta didik. Indikator dari tingkat pemahaman yaitu peserta didik mampu menjelaskan, mengklasifikasikan, menerapkan hubungan, dan memberikan contoh. Subjek penelitian yaitu kelas X-C dan X-G. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu tes pengetahuan, tugas, dan presentasi. Data pada penelitian ini dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, uji hipotesis, dan uji N-Gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: 1) Terdapat perbedaan pemahaman konsep sebelum dan sesudah diberikan treatment pada kelas eksperimen yaitu sebesar -6.521. 2) Terdapat perbedaan pemahaman konsep sebelum dan sesudah diberikan treatment pada kelas control yaitu sebesar -2.087. 3) Berdasarkan perbedaan hasil uji hipotesis kelas eksperimen dan kontrol adalah sebesar -3.280 sehingga terdapat perbedaan pemahaman konsep pada kelas eksperimen dan kontrol. Perbedaan besaran tingkat pemahaman antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol yaitu sebesar 17,1%. Kata Kunci: Pemahaman Konsep, Media Pembelajaran, Flashcard The use of media in learning is quite important, because media can increase attractiveness, absorption and maximize student interaction in understanding learning material. One of these media is flashcards. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of using flashcard media on students' level of understanding. The method used was quasi-experimental with a pre-test post-test group design. The variables are flashcards and poster media as well students' level of understanding. The indicator of the level of understanding is that students are able to explain, classify, apply relationships and give examples. The research subjects were classes X-C and X-G. The instruments used are knowledge tests, assignments, and presentations. The data in this study were analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, hypothesis tests, and N-Gain test. The results of the research show that: 1) There is a difference in understanding of concepts before and after being given treatment in the experimental class, namely -6.521. 2) There is a difference in understanding of concepts before and after being given treatment in the control class, namely -2.087. 3) Based on the difference in hypothesis testing results for the experimental and control classes, it is -3,280, so there is a difference in understanding of concepts in the experimental and control classes. The difference in the level of understanding between the experimental class and the control class was 17.1%. Keywords: Understanding Concepts, Learning Media, Flashcards
