Abstract

ABSTRAK PENERAPAN METODE JARIMATIKA TERHADAP PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN OPERASI HITUNG PERKALIAN 6, 7, 8, DAN 9 DALAM BENTUK SOAL PECAHAN ANAK DENGAN HAMBATAN PENGLIHATAN KELAS VIII DI SLB YAYASAN BAHAGIA (Syifa Haudhi Arsyika, 1705002) Anak dengan hambatan penglihatan adalah individu yang mengalami kerusakan pada indera penglihatan, baik sebagian maupun total. Berkurangnya fungsi Indera penglihatan mengakibatkan sesorang terhambat dan kurang maksimal dalam melakukan aktivitas sehari-hari. Anak dengan hambatan penglihatan sebagian ataupun total mengalami kesulitan untuk memahami sesuatu yang bersifat abstrak, maka diperlukan penyederhanaan sehingga menjadi sesuatu yang konkret. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan teknik dan metode yang tepat untuk membelajarkan mereka. Fakta di lapangan menunjukkan bahwa anak dengan hambatan penglihatan total di SLB Bahagia belum mampu melakukan operasi hitung perkalian diatas 5. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, peneliti akan mengaplikasikan metode jarimatika untuk meningkatkan kemampuan operasi hitung perkalian siswa kelas VIII SLB Bahagia, Tasikmalaya. Penelitian dilakukan pada 2 subjek dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif Singgle Subjek Research (SSR) dengan desain A-B-A. Desain A1 dilakukan sebanyak 3 sesi, B (intervensi) dilakukan sebanyak 8 sesi, dan A2 dilakukan sebanyak 3 sesi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan keterampilan operasi hitung perkalian masing-masing subjek. Perubahan level pada fase intervensi kedua subjek menunjukkan hasil sebesar 10%. Hasil analisis antar kondisi pada kedua subjekpun cenderung menaik (+) dari mendatar (=) pada fase baseline 1 (A-1) ke kondisi intervensi (B) dan stabilitas stabil ke stabil dengan persentase overlap 0%. Persentase overlap dengan skor 0% ini bermakna intervensi memiliki pengaruh cukup besar dalam peningkatan kemampuan operasi hitung perkalian dengan model soal pecahan pada subjek 1 dan subjek 2. Kesimpulannya menunjukkan bahwa metode jarimatika dapat meningkatkan kemampuan operasi hitung perkalian anak dengan hambatan penglihatan total, kedua subjek menyatakan bahwa metode jarimatika dapat memudahkan dan menyenangkan dalam penyelesaikan operasi hitung perkalian. Kata Kunci : Anak dengan hambatan penglihatan, Metode, Operasi Hitung, Jarimatika ABSTRACK APPLICATION OF JARIMATICS METHOD TO IMPROVE THE ABILITY OF 6, 7, 8, AND 9 MULTIPLICATION AUTOMATION OPERATIONS IN THE FORM OF FRACTION QUESTIONS IN CHILDREN WITH CLASS VIII VISION BARRIERS AT SLB YAYASAN BAHAGIA (Syifa Haudhi Arsyika, 1705002) Children with visual impairments are individuals who experience damage to their sense of sight, either partially or totally. Reduced function of the sense of sight results in a person being hampered and less than optimal in carrying out daily activities. Children with partial or total visual impairment have difficulty understanding something abstract, so it is necessary to simplify it so that it becomes something concrete. Therefore, appropriate techniques and methods are needed to teach them. Facts in the field show that children with total visual impairment at SLB Bahagia are not yet able to perform multiplication operations above 5. Based on this, researchers will apply the Jarimatics method to improve the ability to calculate multiplication operations for class VIII students at SLB Bahagia, Tasikmalaya. The research was conducted on 2 subjects using a quantitative Single Subject Research (SSR) approach with an A-B-A design. Design A1 was carried out in 3 sessions, B (intervention) was carried out in 8 sessions, and A2 was carried out in 3 sessions. The results of the research showed an increase in the multiplication calculation operation skills of each subject. Changes in levels in the intervention phase for both subjects showed results of 10%. The results of the analysis between conditions for both subjects tended to increase (+) from level (=) in baseline phase 1 (A-1) to intervention conditions (B) and stability was stable to stable with an overlap percentage of 0%. This overlap percentage with a score of 0% means that the intervention has had quite a big influence in improving the ability of multiplication calculation operations using the fraction problem model in subject 1 and subject 2. In conclusion, it shows that the Jarimatics method can improve the ability of multiplication calculation operations in children with total visual impairment, both subjects stated that the Jarimatics method can make it easier and more enjoyable to complete multiplication calculation operations.
