Abstract
Setiap individu memiliki keterampilan sosial, tetapi fakta di lapangan masih banyak siswa yang melakukan tindakan bullying atau perilaku menyimpang. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menguji coba teknik positive self talk terhadap keterampilan sosial pada siswa korban bullying. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, angket, dan wawancara, adapun teknik analisis data menggunakan uji normalitas, homogenitas, dan uji hipotesis (Uji-T). Peneliti menggunakan angket yang disebarkan kepada 18 siswa kelas VIII SMPN 10 Cimahi yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling dan hasil diskusi dengan guru Bimbingan dan Konseling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 1) hasil pengukuran keterampilan sosial sebelum pemberian treatment dengan teknik positive self talk memperoleh hasil terendah dengan kategori sedang, artinya masih terdapat beberapa siswa yang tingkat kemampuan keterampilan sosialnya kurang baik karena pada pengukuran ini masih proses pengenalan; 2) hasil pengukuran keterampilan sosial sesudah pemberian treatment dengan teknik positive self talk memperoleh hasil terbesar yang didominasi oleh kategori sangat tinggi, artinya pada pengukuran ini kemampuan keterampilan sosial siswa mengalami peningkatan yang sangat baik; dan 3) hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa nilai Sig. (2-tailed) diperoleh 0,000 < 0,05, artinya Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Hal ini berarti bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara keterampilan sosial siswa korban bullying sebelum dan sesudah diterapkannya treatment dengan teknik positive self talk, sehingga dapat dikatakan bahwa teknik positive self talk ini terbukti dapat membantu siswa dalam meningkatkan keterampilan sosialnya. Rekomendasi pada penelitian ini dapat memberikan ide baru bahwa teknik positive self talk perlu menjadi program di sekolah. Every individual has social skills, but the facts on the ground are that there are still many students who commit acts of bullying or deviant behavior. This research aims to test positive self-talk techniques for social skills in students who are victims of bullying. This research uses a quantitative approach with a experimental method. The data collection techniques used were observation, questionnaires, and interviews, while the data analysis techniques used normality, homogeneity, and hypothesis testing (T-Test). Researchers used a questionnaire distributed to 18 class VIII students at SMPN 10 Cimahi who were selected using purposive sampling techniques and the results of discussions with the Guidance and Counseling teacher. The results of the research show 1) the results of measuring social skills before giving treatment using the positive self-talk technique obtained the lowest results in the medium category, meaning that there were still some students whose level of social skills ability was not good because this measurement was still in the recognition process; 2) the results of measuring social skills after giving treatment using the positive self-talk technique obtained the greatest results which were dominated by the very high category, meaning that in this measurement the students' social skills abilities experienced a very good improvement; and 3) the analysis results show that the Sig. (2-tailed) obtained 0.000 < 0.05, meaning Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. This means that there is a significant difference between the social skills of students who are victims of bullying before and after implementing treatment with positive self-talk techniques, so it can be said that this positive self-talk technique is proven to be able to help students improve their social skills. The recommendations in this research can provide new ideas that positive self-talk techniques need to be programmed in schools.
