Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi rendahnya kemampuan berbicara pada siswa yang disebabkan kurangnya kemampuan siswa dalam menyusun kata menjadi satu kalimat utuh, siswa memiliki rasa kurang percaya diri ketika berbicara baik dengan guru maupun pada saat pembelajaran, kurangnya pengetahuan siswa mengenai cara atau etika ketika berbicara dengan lawan bicaranya. Hal ini memerlukan adanya perbaikan dalam penerapan pembelajaran di kelas V sekolah dasar. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh media podcast berbasis audio terhadap kemampuan berbicara siswa pada materi wawancara kelas V sekolah dasar. Metode penelitian yakni quasi eksperiment dengan desain penelitian the matching only posttest control group design. Sampel dalam penelitian yakni siswa kelas V SDN Rd Mangkudikusumah dan SDN Bugel 01, Kabupaten Bandung. Hasil analisis data posttest di kelas eksperimen menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh media podcast berbasis audio visual terhadap kemampuan berbicara pada materi wawancara. Nilai rata-rata posttest kemampuan berbicara kelas eksperimen yaitu sebesar 74, sedangkan nilai rata-rata posttest praktik wawancara kelas eksperimen sebesar 75. Nilai rata-rata posttest kemampuan berbicara kelas kontrol sebesar 68, sedangkan nilai rata-rata posttest praktik wawancara kelas kontrol sebesar 68. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa nilai tertinggi di kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi 6 poin dibandingkan kelas kontrol. Berdasarkan analisis data posttest dinyatakan bahwa nilai sig 5,80 yang berarti terdapat perbedaan pengaruh signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Rekomendasi bagi penelitian lanjutan yaitu bisa dilakukan dengan penggunaan media podcast berbasis audio visual yang dipadukan dengan metode pemblajaran yang lebih menantang, meningkatkan durasi ketika pembelajaran atau variabel lainnya yang dapat mempengaruhi kemampuan berbicara siswa. -------- This research is motivated by the low speaking ability of students which is due to students' lack of ability to arrange words into one complete sentence, students have a lack of confidence when speaking both with teachers and during learning, students' lack of knowledge regarding methods or etiquette when speaking with their interlocutors. This requires improvements in the implementation of learning in class V elementary schools. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of audio-based podcast media on students' speaking abilities in fifth grade elementary school interview material. The research method is quasi-experimental with a matched only posttest control group design. The samples in the research were fifth grade students at SDN Rd Mangkudikusumah and SDN Bugel 01, Bandung Regency. The results of posttest data analysis in the experimental class show that there is an influence of audio-visual-based podcast media on speaking ability in interview material. The average posttest score for speaking ability in the experimental class was 74, while the average posttest score for interview practice in the experimental class was 75. The average posttest score for speaking ability in the control class was 68, while the average posttest score for interview practice in the control class was 68. This shows that the highest score in the experimental class was 6 points higher than the control class. Based on posttest data analysis, it is stated that the sig value is 5.80, which means there is a significant difference in influence between the experimental class and the control class. Recommendations for further research include the use of audio-visual-based podcast media combined with more challenging learning methods, increasing the duration of learning or other variables that can influence students' speaking abilities.
