Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh informasi mengenai peningkatan penguasaan konsep setelah diterapkannya model pembelajaran Discovery Learning berbantuan simulator berbasis smartphone pada materi sel volta. Metode yang digunakan adalah mixed methods dengan desain penelitian pre-experimental one group pretest posttest. Partisipan penelitian terdiri dari 33 peserta didik SMA kelas 12 yang sudah mempelajari materi sel volta. Penelitian ini diawali dengan menganalisis karakteristik aplikasi yang telah dikembangkan oleh peneliti sebelumnya. Informasi yang diperoleh pada tahap analisis karakteristik aplikasi menjadi pertimbangan untuk menentukan model pembelajaran yang sesuai dan sebagai acuan dalam pembuatan RPP. Keterlaksanaan pembelajaran diperoleh dari respons peserta didik pada LKPD. Data peningkatan penguasaan konsep diperoleh dengan pretest dan posttest menggunakan soal pilihan ganda. Dari hasil analisis karakteristik aplikasi dibagi menjadi dua yaitu dari segi fasilitas, serta model pembelajaran yang sesuai, dengan karakteristik multimedia adalah model pembelajaran Discovery Learning. Rancangan pelaksanaan pembelajaran dikategorikan sangat layak. Keterlaksanaan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning dengan simulator berbasis android sudah terlaksana dengan baik serta terdapat peningkatan penguasaan konsep yang tidak terlalu signifikan dan peningkatan hasil belajar untuk peserta didik dengan kategori pretest rendah. This study aims to obtain information about the improvement of concept mastery after the application of the Discovery Learning learning model assisted by a smartphone-based simulator on voltaic cell material. The method used is mixed methods with pre-experimental one group pretest posttest research design. The research participants consisted of 33 12th grade high school students who had studied voltaic cell material. This research begins with analyzing the characteristics of the application that has been developed by previous researchers. The information obtained at the stage of analyzing the characteristics of the application becomes a consideration to determine the appropriate learning model and as a reference in making lesson plans. The implementation of learning is obtained from the response of students on the LKPD. Data on concept mastery improvement is obtained by pretest and posttest using multiple choice questions. From the results of the analysis of application characteristics are divided into two, namely in terms of facilities, as well as the appropriate learning model, with multimedia characteristics is the Discovery Learning learning model. The learning implementation design is categorized as very feasible. The implementation of the Discovery Learning learning model with an android-based simulator has been well implemented and there is a not too significant increase in concept mastery and an increase in learning outcomes for students with low pretest categories.
