Abstract
Media adalah segala bentuk yang digunakan untuk menyampaikan pesan dari pengirim kepada penerima dengan tujuan untuk merangsang pikiran, emosi, perhatian, dan minat. Media dirancang sedemikian rupa untuk merangsang proses pembelajaran peserta didik. Media pembelajaran merupakan salah satu alat bantu yang digunakan oleh pendidik agar kegiatan pembelajaran berlangsung secara efektif. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media film terhadap motivasi belajar peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Variabel penelitian ini yaitu media film sebagai variabel bebas dan motivasi belajar sebagai variabel terikat. Subjek penelitian ini ialah dua kelas yang dipilih untuk menjadi kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen. Kelas kontrol yaitu kelas XI IPS 2 dan kelas eksperimen yaitu kelas XI IPS 4. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa angket/kuesioner. Analisis data menggunakan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, uji hipotesis (uji t), dan uji regresi linear sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: 1) Motivasi belajar peserta didik di kelas eksperimen antar nilai pre-test dengan post-test menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan. Persentase indikator motivasi belajar tertinggi berada pada indikator adanya hasrat dan keinginan untuk berhasil. 2) Motivasi belajar peserta didik di kelas kontrol antar nilai pre-test dengan post-test menunjukkan perbedaan namun tidak terlalu signifikan. Persentase indikator motivasi belajar tertinggi berada pada indikator adanya hasrat dan keinginan untuk berhasil. 3) Berdasarkan hasil uji regresi linear sederhana, media film mempengaruhi motivasi belajar peserta didik di kelas eksperimen secara signifikan. Media film berpengaruh positif terhadap motivasi belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran Geografi. Media is any form used to convey messages from the sender to the receiver with the aim of stimulating thoughts, emotions, attention, and interest. The media is designed in such a way as to stimulate the learning process of students. Learning media is one of the tools used by educators so that learning activities take place effectively. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using movie media on students' learning motivation. This study used a quasi-experimental method with a research design of Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The variables of this study are movie media as the independent variable and learning motivation as the dependent variable. The subjects of this study were two classes selected to be the control class and the experimental class. The control class is XI IPS 2 class and the experimental class is XI IPS 4 class. The research instrument used is a questionnaire. Data analysis used normality test, homogeneity test, hypothesis test (t test), and simple linear regression test. The results showed that: 1) The learning motivation of students in the experimental class between the pre-test and post-test scores shows a significant difference. The highest percentage of learning motivation indicators is in the indicator of the desire and desire to succeed. 2) The learning motivation of students in the control class between the pre-test and post-test scores shows a difference but not too significant. The highest percentage of learning motivation indicators is in the indicator of the desire and desire to succeed. 3) Based on the results of the simple linear regression test, film media significantly affects the learning motivation of students in the experimental class. Movie media has a positive effect on students' learning motivation in Geography subjects.
