Abstract

ABSTRACT The background of this research is that there is a decline in student learning outcomes in economics subjects seen from the Mid Semester Assessment scores for class XI Social Studies SMA Negeri Bandung Regency. This study aims to determine the effect of teacher competence on student learning outcomes. The method used in this research is explanatory survey. Respondents in this study were students of class XI IPS at SMA Negeri Bandung Regency, namely SMAN 1 Dayeuhkolot, SMAN 1 Ciparay, SMAN 1 Margahayu, SMAN 1 Margaasaih, SMAN 1 Cileunyi with a total of 252 respondents. The instrument uses a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used in this study is multiple regression. The results in the study showed that (1) pedagogical competence had a positive effect on student learning outcomes (2) professional competence had a positive effect on student learning outcomes (3) personality competence had a positive effect on student learning outcomes (4) social competence had a effect on learning outcomes.
