Abstract
ABSTRAK Penelitian ini berkaitan dengan tanda dan makna dalam Klub Motor “The Prediksi” yang terdapat dalam video di Kanal YouTube @TaulanyTV. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan (1) bentuk tanda dan makna berdasarkan hubungan antara representamen dan objek, yaitu melalui analisis penggunaan simbol, ikon, dan indeks yang terdapat dalam Klub Motor “The Prediksi” di Kanal YouTube @TaulanyTV; (2) mendeskripsikan proses interpretant (proses penafsiran) terhadap tanda dan makna yang terdapat dalam Klub Motor “The Prediksi” di Kanal YouTube @TaulanyTV. Dalam penelitian ini, digunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan semiotika Charles Sanders Peirce sebagai pendekatan untuk membedah masalah dalam penelitian. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Klub Motor “The Prediksi” dalam video di Kanal YouTube @TaulanyTV peiode Maret 2022 – Juni 2023 yang memuat tanda verbal dan visual. Dalam pengumpulan data, dilakukan observasi nonpartisipan dan teknik dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa simbol merepresentasikan penanda verbal yang memberi dukungan penjelasan dari gambar yang memiliki hubungan intersemiotik; ikon merepresentasikan profil, citra diri, style, sikap, pemikiran, penggambaran latar tempat dan suasana; indeks merepresentasikan berbagai makna dari pemikiran atau tindakan ikon/tokoh, profil tokoh, makna sudut pengambilan gambar, makna dari sikap (gestur, penampilan, ekspresi wajah), makna dari latar, ciri khas komunitas. Pada tataran interpretant (proses penafsiran) ditemukan nilai-nilai berupa ciri khas komunitas, persahabatan, harapan, candaan, motivasi, kepercayaan, amanah, pentingnya menjaga komunikasi, pemanfaatan peluang, selalu mencoba, saling menghargai, dan keteladanan. Kata kunci: tanda dan makna, semiotika, Klub Motor “The Prediksi”, YouTube ABSTRACT This research is related to the signs and meanings in "The Prediction" Motorcycle Club which are contained in the video on the @TaulanyTV YouTube Channel. The purpose of this study is to describe (1) the form of signs and meanings based on the relationship between representamen and objects, namely through an analysis of the use of symbols, icons and indexes contained in the Motorcycle Club "The Prediction" on the @TaulanyTV YouTube Channel; (2) describes the interpretant process (interpretation process) of the signs and meanings contained in “The Prediction” Motorcycle Club on the @TaulanyTV YouTube Channel. In this study, a qualitative descriptive method was used with Charles Sanders Peirce's semiotics as an approach to dissecting research problems. The data used in this study is the Motorcycle Club "The Prediction" in a video on the @TaulanyTV YouTube Channel for the period March 2022 - June 2023 which contains verbal and visual signs. In collecting data, nonparticipant observation and documentation techniques were used. The results of this study indicate that symbols represent verbal markers that provide explanatory support from images that have intersemiotic relationships; the icon represents the profile, self-image, style, attitude, thought, depiction of the setting and atmosphere; the index represents the various meanings of the icon/character's thoughts or actions, character profiles, the meaning of the shooting angle, the meaning of attitudes (gestures, appearances, facial expressions), the meaning of the setting, the characteristics of the community. At the interpretant level (interpretation process) values are found in the form of community characteristics, friendship, hope, jokes, motivation, trust, trustworthiness, the importance of maintaining communication, taking advantage of opportunities, always trying, mutual respect, and exemplary.
